So yesterday for once in my life, I didn't have rehearsals for the school play. My mom works until 5:30, so I always take the bus to and from school. Autumn, the bus drivers 1st grade daughter, was getting into the elementary school habit of Trading. She showed me all of the loot that she had traded for so far which included:
  •A Shopkins eraser top
  •A large marble
  •A small marble
•A plastic ring (one that you would find
stuck into a cupcake)
  •A foam circle
  •And a strand of lanyard
Although against her mothers wishes, she insisted on trading with me. I searched through my bag and found a lonely orange highlighter. She asked what it was. I showed it what it was for, and she gave the lanyard to me (I currently have it on my wrist, and have not taken it off since she put it on). I became bored on the 15 minute trip back home, and since Autumn was playing Temple Run on my phone, I pulled out my sketchbook. She asked me to draw the above picture for her. She then traded me the small marble for it, because her brother would trade her '20 Ketchups' for the large one. I gave her the picture, and walked home with a little more faith left in humanity.
