Gavin

So, my hand broke again. I swear, as soon as I raise enough money, I'm purchasing a much better exterior cover, preferably plexiglass. Upon walking to Jodie's house, something very strange occurred. Something that could change my fate.

My heart was getting warmer, more than usual. I decided to take the more scenic route this morning, where I passed a cliff. I couldn't help but notice a glow on the wall of it in the dim morning light. That is where it began. I was ecstatic, honestly, but there was no way I could just ditch the one I already loved. At least my future isn't on the moon.

I had to keep this from Jodie. I have no idea as to what she would say, and I still haven't met this girl. Maybe I will tomorrow. I will conceal my heart under a jacket, maybe. What do you do when you try to be discreet about something obvious?

Something wasn't right when Gavin arrived. He usually acts much more loose around me, but today he was all jittery or something. I also could see that his heart had a bit of a faint glow, only one that someone like me could notice, mostly considering that I am a tinker and work with a lot of lights. He must be closer to his true love. But why would he be so weird about it?

I'm not even the jealous type, but i couldn't help but be a bit ticked when he tried to keep it secret. Frankly, I wouldn't give a donkey's rodent if he met his love, but the fact that he can't tell me hurts. Even if we end up splitting, he's like my best friend. Let's hope it's different come tomorrow.
