The Headmistress stood again.

"Welcome new trainees. You are dismissed."

Everyone started to shuffle out of the Auditorium. We followed the mentor as closely as we could, not wanting to become lost. As soon as we were outside in the courtyard we had first arrived in, the mentor pulled to the side, and gathered us together, counting us. I felt like a kindergardener again. Finally, another group, about the same size as us came and stopped right next to us. Our mentor struggled out of the center of the group, while the mentor of the other group did the same. The talked for a few minutes, then pulled in everyones attention.

"Hello everyone. Welcome to the pre-training for Grianan enterprise. The group of you that are still here have passed our beginning requirements." There was a murrmur through the crowd, and I noticed that the group looked a little smaller than it had before. The two girls I had been forced to sit in between were gone. Then I panicked. Dove couldn't be gone. I scanned the crowd once then twice, then finally spotted her near the front. I sighed in relief. "As you can see, each of your groups has been cut down by a quarter. This requirement was made so that we don't have people who are physically or mentally, or even magically in-capable of following through this training.

"The bar for this requirement will rise each year, and those of you that barely were above the bar, must work extra hard to improve the skill that you will be lacking next year if you continue. Now, The group opposite of you is the other half of the Grianan recruits. Their mentor is Sam, and he and I will be your mentors until you either are discharged, or promoted. Now lets get onto the tour. You will have a variety of classes in all towers. You will recieve a scedule in a few days.  Anyway, all of the fighting classes will be in the main tower, all of the fire magic classes will be in Bethabara. All the water ones will be in Eaton, all the earth classes will be in Peyton, all the celestial classes will be in Aimon, all the strategy classes will be in Bromley, all the air classes will be in Manuae,  and finally, all the light/energy classes will be in Grianan. You will start of by taking classes in only the magic types that you are chosen in, then you will start taking all of the other magic types one by one untill you can use at least a three magic types well. You will always be better at your origional magic types, than the ones you learn later on.

"Now, each tower is built in two sections. The top half of the castle is the rooms for all of the guardians of the enterprise. The bottom half is classes. You are not to go into the top half of any tower exept Giranan, if you do so, you will be discharged. The main tower is a little different though. The top fourth of the tower is off limits, it is staff housing. The rest is accessable to you. The dinning hall the floor that is half way up  All the towers contect to the dining hall. You were just in the gym, and the auditorium. Then there are classrooms in the main tower everywhere else. The battle fields are behind the academy, they change every week, so I suggest not going back there without a teacher. You will be discharged if you do, not to mention the probability of you dying back there is very large if you don't go with a teacher. Any Questions?" she finished.

A tall boy from the other group steped out.

"What is your name?"

"Sera, now lets get moving." She nodded to Sam, then she sprinted off. It took everyone a moment before they realized they were suppose to follow Sera. We all stumbled and climbed over each other to get closer to Sera. I was at the front of the group, but I noticed the chaos slowly edging towards the front of the crowd. I pulled a little further from the center, just to be safe. Most of the people at the front of the group were boys now, but there were still a few girls though. They were laughing and whooping  with each other as if they had known each other since birth.

I continued to run at full speed as one by one, people from the top group started to drop into the middle group. I pulled closer to the middle each time someone dropped. We were on the fifth lap around the school when the top group was down to just me, and a boy with dark brown hair. He was breathing hard and was starting to drop behind. I gave him a side-ways glance as he gave a extra large huff. We were right behind Sera, who was barely sweating hard.
