~Cerise's P.O.V~
I wake up and turn to face the clock on my nightstand.
7:43
I sit up in my bed and take a deep breath, only to notice the small scent of food in the air.
I get up from my bed and make my way towards the kitchen. That's when I'm greeted by Skylar.
"Hey C, I need to tell you something." She says and walks over to me.
"You and I need to talk," I say while grabbing her arm and making my way towards the living room, that was surprisingly empty.
"What's up?" She asks and we take a seat on the couch.
"Why did you decide to go through my diary?" I question her and a look of guilt spreads across her face but disappears just as fast as it came.
"I didn't go through your diary." She says and breaks eye contact with me by looking at her hands. Which she was currently fiddling with.
"I'm not sure what's worse. The fact that you did it, or the fact that you're lying right to my face." I say and begin to grow angry with every passing second.
"I'm sorry C. I'm sorry I went through your private things and I'm sorry for interfering with you and Nolan, but I just wanted to help. I know you both liked each other, and I just wanted to help." She says, and the look she gives me, tells me she's on the brink if tears.
"Please don't be mad." She says, and I contemplate on what I'm feeling.
"I'm not mad, I'm just... Disappointed. You should have just left Nolan and I's relationship alone, but I forgive you. Now let's go get ready for dinner." I say and stand up from the couch. Skylar does the same and we walk into the kitchen together.
~*~*~*~*~
After dinner, I got ready for bed. Making sure I got everything ready for school the next day.
I move across my room and fall into my bed. I lay on my side, and look out the window to see a city that was very much alive.
From the people walking on the sidewalks to the lights shining through windows on countless buildings. I pay attention to the details I never noticed before.
I flip over and put on a playlist on my phone to go to sleep to. Turning back around, I look back out the window once again. Drifting off into a soft sleep.
