"Don't look down" I whispered gently as I held her waist tightly. Her eyes subconsciously started to drift as if my words only intrigued her more. My finger tips quickly found their way to her chin lifting it up slightly as I shook my head my eyes filled with mischief.
"I don't think so" I breathed into her ear.
I could feel her heart racing, her light brown hair blowing in the wind, her hazel brownish eyes searching my face intensely.
"Dont." she whispered shallowly fear clear as day on her thin heart shaped face.
With a crooked smile, I grabbed her tighter and jumped without a second thought.
Her screamed ripped through the night like a sword. I couldn't help but laugh as the wind pushed past me. My grip tightened around her bringing her slightly closer, her hair tickling my face slightly.
I looked into her eyes, fear filled them and in some sick twisted way I couldn't help but admire the fear as her grip tightened on me. Maybe it was the fact that I felt like I could be the one to take her fear away or because I finally got to see this side of her.
Just as we landed on the the old mattress that lay beneath us I looked up checking to see if they were still behind us.
I grabbed her shaky hand and raced into the night.
We ran non stop for a good 10 minutes before I came to a stop our entwined fingers breaking contact making my heart miss a slight beat. I ran my fingers through my brown hair trying to catch my breath. My eyes scanned over her taking in her slightly ragged appearance. Her tight slightly mudded tank top stuck to her like a second skin her chest glazed with a thin layer of sweat. Her black Nike shorts dusty, they showed off her tan legs.
"What the hell is wrong with you!" Adeline screamed at me furiously whilst gasping for air like a dying whale. I started at her blankly. What the hell was she so mad about?
"You can't just do that! You can't jump jump off some roof like that! You idiot" she yelled as she slapped my chest roughly.
"Yeah you're right next time I'll just wait for them to catch up and kill us" I replied sarcastically.
"Why the hell where these guys chasing you anyways?" I asked suspiciously. "They weren't from the gang."
She blushed vigorously and looked away avoiding my gaze, I took a step closer waiting for her reply.
She cleared her throat "I may or may have not punched that fat guy in the face." She said sheepishly.
I choked on my own spit before laughing hysterically.
"You what??" I choked out between laughter.
"Hey it wasn't my fault he started it!" She said defensively.
"Amaze me, what did he do?" I asked as I leaned back onto the wall and crossing my arms across my chest, I arched an eyebrow.
She took a step back and crossed her arms over her chest and pouted slightly before saying "He asked for my number rudely."
"Well alright then, I like you now, you are coming with me." My eyes gleamed with amusement, I chuckled quietly and grabbed her hand roughly before dragging her into the upcoming alley.
"We live in same house" she corrected me. "Wait wait. Hold up so you didn't like me before? " she asked going over my words. With my free hand I scratched the back of my head before replying carelessly "I had no specific opinion of you actually."

Long story short Adeline got herself in some trouble with our rival gang. They wanted something she had which meant she had something we were interest in. She was valuable to us, until proven otherwise. She was placed under my protection until further notice.
I'm Jackson a member of an unnamed gang. Yeah I know it doesn't make sense to not have a name but it was never something we thought of.
