The Next Step ~ Multinationals (Season 6.5)

Of Course, Only Us

Giselle and Kate came out into the studio eager to share the news. She was holding her famous blue clipboard, it was strange really. Did she really need it? It was only three names, but then again, She didn't want to say the wrong names and get the hopes of the wrong dancers up.

"Alright boys, we have the names! Before we start.. I want to say how great your solos were and you should all be very proud!" Kate began, gleaming around the dancers with a smile on her face. "So Giselle and I have decided that the Male Trio will be -
Eldon, James and Noah!" Kate announced.

Noah POV -
Ahh Yes! I'm so happy to be on the male trio!

James POV -
I'm thrilled, I'm on the Male trio and I get to represent the next step in that round with Eldon and Noah, two of the best dancers in the studio!

Eldon POV -
This is going to be great, I just can't wait to get to Multinationals and compete! I have some great ideas for the trio and I just want to get started right away!

"Well, now that we have that sorted. I think you boys can go to studio B and get cracking on the routine and we need to assign dancers to the Female Trio" Kate announced, the boys began to leave the studio leaving Ollie looking deflated in the corner.

Ollie POV -
I have to admit that I do feel a little down when my name is not called but there is loads of Dances at Multinationals -I was just hoping that I'd have got a dance in a featured round that's all.

Miss Kate POV -
I do notice Ollie looks a little down and I don't want him to feel left out so he is the only boy left so I tell him to go along with the boys.

"Ollie, could you please go into studio B with the boys? You need to learn the Choreography as a back up incase someone gets injured" Kate ordered, now walking closer to the girls to begin talking about the female trio round.

Ollie POV -
Great(!) Looks like I'm an alternate again, but i must not complain! I'm here to win Multinationals whatever it takes and I'm proud to be in any routine!

The Next Step - Lounge

Giselle POV -
I'm in the lounge right now and I'm just looking at the costumes that have arrived and they look great! These are for the group 1&2 dance and I know we're definitely going to make a splash with these.

A troupe was renowned for its costumes looking a lot like escaped circus acts. But these were different. Each of the boys clothes looked smart and casual for the first batch while the girls looked sparkly in a mixture of blue, pink and purple.

Giselle ripped open the next box in excitement, eager to see the next batch of costumes. "Ahh, these look.... Not right?" she mumbled to herself as she rummaged through the box and skimmed over the clipboard on the table. "Oh no, I can't believe this is happening right now!" Giselle said to herself. Something was up!

Giselle POV -
This is NOT good!

The Next Step - Studio A

"So if we make it past the male trio round, well be competing for one of the spots going into the Semi finals so this is going to be really fearce!" Kate was in the middle of discussing the female trio round when Giselle came running into the studio in a panic. "Kate, Kate! I need to talk to you in the office. It's urgent" She said, walking into the office and signalling Kate to join her.

"Close the door a minute, this is really serious!" She said, the worry in her voice. A trouble had stopped working AMD began glaring into the office, all beginning of come up with theories. ", So you know how the costumes gave come and everything?" Kate nodded, really confident. "Well. Long story short there is a problem....

Miss Kate POV -
When Giselle explains about costume. I'm honestly not surprised. I mean of course, only us. It's only the next step that has costume problems every dance season!

"I mean, what are we going to do? Multinationals is right around the corner and now our costume are all wrong!" Giselle was getting in to a full state of panic, causing Carmine to enter the office. They did their best to look casual, but the dance captain knew otherwise. "Is everything okay? Only it looks like there's a problem" She asked, in her usual calm tone.

"No, no. Everything is fine. We're just so excited and can't wait to go to Multinationals...

Miss Kate POV -
I hope we can come up with a solution soon! I'm going to run out of  things to say to Carmine eventually...

The Next Step - Studio B

"Yes! That's so sick, we are totally adding that in!" James yelled in amazement , he was stunned by what Eldon had just showed him. It seems that Eldon had taken time to improve his dance at during his time away form the studio. Despite the fact that Ollie wasn't in the actual male trio, it didn't stop him from trying to add dance. "Okay, I'm not a hip hop dancer but I think when you jump, you need to hold your arm out so the momentum picks up more" He said kindly, trying to mimick the hiphop choreography.

"You know, this kid is smart!" James gave Ollie a respectable nod as he agreed with what Ollie had said. "Thanks, and Kid? I'm 15" he chuckled. At that point, it had sort of clicked in James head that they didn't know much about each other, which was strange seeing as most of the dancers had been on A troupe together before. They all began to sit down in a circle. "You know, for a contemporary dancer...you do know your stuff about Hiphop. Why didn't you train in Hiphop when you decided you want to be a dancer?" James asked.

Ollie POV -
I've never really spoken about why I wanted become a dancer. It's a really long story and I never really planed for it to come to this.

"I didn't train, I'm a self taught dancer" He began, this startled the others because for a self taught contemporary dancers, Ollie was actually pretty good. "It's a long story but... there was this girl in my drama school which had a dance troupe which I wanted to be on because she was on it. But then, I didn't get on it and she left eventually and then when all the people left. It was just me and the new students, they made it onto the team and I didn't and at point. I knew I had to get out of there. So when my family got the transfer to Toronto, I came to the next Step - B troupe, A troupe, Nationals, internationals and now I'm here" Ollie explained himself.

Eldon POV -
You know, I never knew there was so much we didn't know about him.

Noah POV -
He didn't train as a dancer, we can help with that.

"You know, if your main dance style is contemporary. Then if you want, I can give you some lessons in Hiphop or help you further you contemporary if you would like" Noah offered kindly,  Ollie nodded, "Thank you, I'd like that" He answered.

Noah POV -
If the Next Step wins Multinationals, then it's going to be harder than ever to continue dancing on A troupe after that for some people. If I can help him, he'll make the next A troupe!

The Next Step - Lounge

Miss Kate POV -
This is a mess! The costumes are here, it's Just the wrong amounts. The girls costumes are how many boys there and the boys costume are the amount of girls! I just don't know what were going to do now.

Next time - A troupe learns about the costumes, The Female Solo is yet to be assigned.
