Entering the case, Clara looked around. He had a small room, which had a cauldron two counters, and a few chairs. Clara left the room to see a bunch of magical creatures. The case had really changed since she last saw it.

----

Newt showed Jacob around, leading him to the tree with the bowtruckles. The little green plant creatures all swayed from the branches, and Newt had to smile when he saw them. Jacob looked at them in amazement.

"I don't think I'm dreaming." Jacob said.

"And what gave it away?" Newt asked.

"I don't have the brains to make it up." Jacob said. Newt grinned. Newt gave Jacob a bucket of meat.

"What's this for?" Jacob asked.

"Just feed them to any creatures that look like they need meat." Newt said. Jacob nodded and left.

----

Clara explored the case, seeing familiar creatures and some she didn't know. She bent down to pet a fuzzy creature that licked her hand. She smiled and pet it more.

She remembered the old days, where they had nothing to worry about. Clara hated that people changed too.

She didn't know what Emma was up to these days, but she knew what Jasper was doing. Jasper was originally the kind Slytherin, who was now corrupted by the dark magic. And Newt had changed too. He was a kid who was always happy, and messing around and learning about new things. But now he was here. She couldn't describe how Newt changed. Of course, he was still handsome, but it looked like he hadn't talked to a human in ages and spent most of the time with his creatures.

Even though Clara thought she herself hadn't changed a bit, she knew she changed tremendously. She was more professional now, and was always trying to prove that she was better than the average werewolf.

She stood up and walked around more. The Niffler was gone along with the Occamy, and an Invisible creature. She knew they were going to be difficult to catch, but with for witches and wizards, Clara believed it was going to be easy.

---

Newt had finished everything. Jacob had returned with the bucket of meat empty.

"All these creatures are amazing!" Jacob said.

"They truly are." Newt said, watching his creatures play and run around.

"How did you catch them?" Jacob asked.

"My mum and Clara helped most of the time, some I caught by myself." Newt said.

"Why did you come to America?" Jacob asked.

"I had to release this buddy to Arizona." Newt said, walking to a creature with wings, a beak and two tails. Jacob reached out to pet it.

"Wow." Jacob said, petting it. Newt nodded.

"It was found in Africa, so I went to go collect it." Newt said.

"What was that big black thing I saw in the other room?" Jacob asked.

"That was an Obscurus." Newt said.

"Which is?" Jacob asked.

"It's like dark magic inside children, they usually die at a young age. I met one in Africa, she was very kind. She died when she was eight." Newt said. Jacob frowned.

"You can call me Jacob." He said.

"And why is that?" Newt asked.

"You're my friend." Jacob said. Newt grinned at the No-Maj. Jacob nudged Newt when he saw Clara watching the two from a distance. Newt smiled at Clara, she grinned back.
Clara walked over to them.

Jacob felt like something was going to happen, so he left to leave the two alone.

"Hey Clara." Newt said, grinning at her.

"Hey Scamander." She replied, grinning as well.

"I missed you." He said, hugging her.

"I missed you too." She said, hugging him back. They let go.

"What have you been doing these past few years?" Clara asked.

"Catching my beasties. They're all more kind when you show the same attitude towards them." Newt said.

"Has the occamy changed?" Clara asked.

"No, not at all. He's still fiesty." Newt said.

"Oh well, at least we can learn from mistakes." Clara said. Newt nodded. They sat in silence for a while. Newt worked on his thing, and Clara watched him. Suddenly Newt stopped working on it.

"What is it?" She asked him.

"This." He said. Before Clara could say anything, Newt kissed her. She froze, but then slowly kissed back. He pulled away from her.

"Sorry." He said, working on his project again.

"No, it's fine." She said, gently kissing him. He smiled at her, and she smiled back.
