"Just because one person's problem is less traumatic than another's doesn't mean they're required to hurt less." ~J.A. Redmerski

I looked at him in shock. Did I hear this, right? Does he want to end this war we have started long ago?

"What did you say?" I asked, making sure what I heard was correct.

"I said, you wanted detention to end too?" he answered, and I breathed a sigh of relief. I thought he has already given up.

"Yeah, who wouldn't, right?"

"I heard you whispering something. What was it?" he asked.

"It's nothing," I answered, trying to hide the nervousness building up inside me. In the sense that he did hear it, I'll be dead. He might think of it as surrendering and I'm sure as hell that I'm not going to give up.

"Ms. Tyler, Mr. Winters, you're free to go," the teacher said when she burst through the door. "I don't want to see you do this again, okay? I just had an important meeting to attend to which is why I couldn't give disciplinary action. I hope you two got along," she said, smiling. We just answered with a quick nod and she placed the box with our phones at the table. We quickly got up and picked up our phones before I greeted her goodbye. Gabriel just walked out the door. The rudest ever, I swear.

I, then left school and walked home. Our house is just a few blocks away from school which is why it's not hard for me to reach it by foot. And just like that, I was home, ending this tiring day.

"You're gonna come, right?" Stella asked, referring to Bianca's back to school party. It's Friday night and Bianca thought of throwing a party to commemorate the start of the school year. I'm pretty sure that after her party, lots of people would want to throw their own.

"Of course. It's Bianca's party, Stella and we promised each other that we'll be partying a lot. Your boyfriend will be there so I'm pretty sure you want to go and I'm so supportive like that, so I'll go to accompany you," I said, and she chuckled.

"Isn't Jaden going?" she asked.

I sighed. "No, I talked to him a while ago. He's not in the mood but James would go," I answered. James is Jaden's twin brother. I got close to him ever since Jaden and I became friends.

"If you don't want to go, don't go," she said, and I shook my head as if she can see me.

"I'll go. As long as you'll drive me there."

"Okay, okay. I'll get dressed. You should, too."

"Okay, see you later," I said before hanging up. I stood up and walked to my closet to find a dress. I settled for a black party dress. I, then went ahead and did my makeup and hair.

It didn't take long before Stella arrived. I told my Mom that I'll be home late before going out and getting in Stella's car.

It wasn't a long drive, so we quickly arrived in Bianca's party house. A lot of people are already there when we got in. I think she invited every senior in our school and since Bianca also knows people outside our school, she probably invited them too.

"My babies are here," Bianca said, hugging me and Stella. She smells like alcohol already.

"Are you drunk?" I asked.

She chuckled. "Little bit," she said, gesturing with her hand.

"We still can't drink, Bianca," Stella said, and Bianca covered her mouth.

"This'll be our little secret," Bianca whispered. "Enjoy the party, okay?" she said before walking away.

"Bianca is- "

"Something else, I know," I said, cutting her mid-sentence.

We both laughed before finding the girls. We saw them sitting on the couch. Khaila is getting wasted while Tori and Hope are just sitting there, chatting with one another.

The whole house is a mess. Red cups are everywhere, guys are playing beer pong or foosball, couples making out, and some were even laying on the floor, passed out.

If y'all think that we're all prim and proper just because we are enrolled in a private school, well, then think again. We're actually party animals outside of school. Most of the people here probably snuck out of their parent's house because that what thrills most of us the most, rebelling.

"The two of you are not gonna drink?" I asked Tori and Hope when we got to the couch.

"No, I'll be driving, remember?" Tori said and I looked at Hope.

"Can't. I just snuck out," she said, and I chuckled. I'm probably really lucky that my Mom allows me to go to these parties but of course there are restrictions like I can't come home drunk or I can't take a guy home.

"Attention, everyone!" Bianca said while holding a microphone and standing on top of the kitchen counter. "I'd like to call on my cousin- Wooh, girl!" she said and I shook my head while laughing because she almost fell down the kitchen counter due to her drunk state. "I almost died," she joked and everyone laughed. "Gabriel, come here!" she yelled before jumping down the kitchen counter.

Bianca walked to where we're sitting and laid down, throwing the microphone. I reached for it and just held onto it, waiting for the lunatic in front to stop spitting out cheesy nonsense.

She's asking Sandra to be his girlfriend, but it looks like a marriage proposal at this point. It's really weird how Gabriel's asking her to enter in a relationship when it's clear that they'll cheat on each other anyways.

"Will you be my girlfriend, Sandra?" he asked after that long-ass cheesy speech. Sandra gasped, acting like she did not expect it. She nodded as a response. He kissed her and everybody cheered.

"They're so dramatic," Stella whispered.

"I know, right? Knowing those two. They'll cheat on each other tomorrow, you'll see," I replied, and everyone looked at me like I just grew another head. I furrowed my eyebrows and that's when I remembered I was holding Bianca's mic and she didn't turn it off!

Gabriel scoffed. "Backstabbing at its finest," he said, and I stood up.

"Well, I wasn't wrong, right? You're a player, she's a slut." I shrugged.

"This coming from the golden girl's mouth, huh?" He shook his head. "Didn't your parents ever teach you manners?"

"Don't go there, Gabriel," I warned.

"Didn't your Mom tell you that it's wrong to speak of other people behind their backs?"

"Stop it," I said, closing my eyes to calm myself.

"And your Dad. Didn't he tell you that slut shaming is wrong? Didn't he teach you anything?"

"I SAID, STOP!" I yelled. I can feel my eyes getting watery, but I can't show him I'm weak. "You're an a*shole!" I cried before tossing the mic and running out of the party venue. He knows how important my family is to me and no one can ever insult them!
