I came here as a simple plain canvas,
You splashed colour into me,
You painted the most beautiful moments.

I loved how your fingers held the colours in them,
The way you put all your love into the paints,
The way you held your art so close to your heart.

Entranced by watching you work,
I loved the way you had happiness smudged all over you,
The way you kept laughter spilling out of your palettes.

I was mesmerised by your wonderful skills,
Watched you work magic on my life everyday,
Watched how you transformed me into a whole new person.

Even as your own life was falling apart,
You kept your painting going on,
Putting everything you had into it.
