Out of the dark

She finally felt like she could breathe again.

All that time having been trapped inside the suffocating cage of her body.

Now that just felt like a faraway nightmare: one from which she was finally awake.

She had given up on life; she couldn't believe how she was so hopeless.

Having seen the path of light now, she knew it was a matter of choice and courage.

And now she was strong enough to have abandoned her darkness.
