Kissing Practice

"We need to talk" Dan said.

"Yeah, sure" Jace said. He didn't have any plans for the day, and was happy to see what Dan needed.

"Riele is obviously in a sensitive mood about this whole thing. Unfortunately, we don't have much time before we have to release the episode. I think Riele will feel much better after she gets used to the idea. Tomorrow you guys will meet here for kissing practice. Just show up tomorrow at 9 am and I'll get Riele here," Dan said.

"I'll be here," Jace replied. To be honest, he wasn't looking forward to the practice. It wasn't that he didn't like Riele. In fact, he had developed a bit of a crush on her. It was just that he had always hoped that if they kissed, it would be on their own, and not for the show. But knew he had to do what Dan wanted. It would do no good to argue. So he headed home trying to mentally prepare for the next day.
____________Next Day______________

Jace woke up early the next morning to prepare mentally for the day ahead of him. Never had a practice for any episode scared him more. He knew this would chance the relationship between him and Riele forever. Knowing what would be happening today, he was extra careful in brushing his teeth and he popped a piece of gum in his mouth as he left for the set of Henry Danger.

When Jace got to the set, Riele was just getting out of her car. He smiled at her. No matter what, they were still friends. Nothing could change that. They saw that Dan's car was already there and decided to head inside.

They found Dan sitting in a chair on the set of the Man Cave. He gestured for them to sit on the couch.

"As you might remember by the script, this scene actually will happen on the floor, but I feel it will be better on the couch today. After all, this may take a while." Dan said to them

Jace and Riele sit on the couch as far away from eachother as they can.

"The script says Riele is snuggled up to Jace," Dan pointed out.

Jace scoots closer to Riele while she moves closer to him. When they are touching, her arms go around him. Their eyes meet and Jace sees fear in hers. He tries his best to show in his eyes that he's sorry before wrapping his arms around her. Dan gives them a moment to adjust before he tells them to kiss. The fear in Rieles eyes spread all across her face and she bolts. Dan stands up to go after her.

"Don't, I'll go talk to her" Jace says.

Dan nods and Jace runs out the door and starts looking for her. He finds her on the set of Henry's room. She's lying on Henry's bed crying. Jace stands awkwardly in the doorway wondering what he should do. Riele soon pauses her crying to look up at him. She turns away from him in what Jace interprets as embarrassment. Jace goes to sit next to her on the bed and touches her shoulder in an attempt to get her to look at him. She does, and Jace can see the strong fear in her eyes.

"What's wrong Riele?" Jace asked in confusion.

Riele took a moment before answering "The truth is, I've never been kissed" she admitted

Jace looked at her in shock "Oh Riele I didn't know. I'm so sorry that this show is taking away that experience. I'm probably not your first pick for who you'd want to be your first kiss"

A light blush appeared on Riele's face at that comment. "Actually, I was ok with the idea of you kissing me. You're a great friend, and I feel comfortable with you. I'm just a bit nervous about having my first kiss in front of Dan. It puts a bit of pressure on me" she whispered.

"Would you feel better if we kissed here so that you feel more comfortable in there?" Jace asked.

Riele nodded and suddenly it seemed as though an invisible force was pulling them together. Their lips finally met. The feeling of Riele's lips on his felt like nothing he ever felt before. He never quite new why someone could get so addicted to drugs, buy now he did. Riele was his drug, and it felt like he needed her in order to survive. Unfortunately, they both needed to breath, so they pulled away. Riele smiled and they silently agreed to head back to Dan.

When they entered the set, Dan looked at them with questioning eyes.

"I'm sorry" Riele stated, "I had a problem, but its been resolved. We can now resume practice."

Dan nodded and they sat on the couch snuggling. Dan asked them to kiss, and they did. Jace was surprised to find that it was an awkward kiss. It seemed that suddenly niether of them new what to do, so their motions were clumsy and the kiss didn't progress much. They soon pulled away, and Dan sighed. The rest of the day, they ran the kiss many times, but each one was more awkward than the last. Finally Dan gave up, and told them both to go home.
