Descent

  Can someone take the time to tell me 

 the way that this should work?

 There's too much chaos in my world,

it makes me go berserk.

I feel like it will come crashing down,

there'll be no going back.

I'm slipping into insanity,

the world is going black.

There'll be no light awaiting,

I don't know what to do.

Nobody around me is caring,

and I can't find a single clue.

I'm dangling from a spider's thread,

it's way too close to snapping.

Then I realize there's no way back,

and I throw my head back laughing.

In the end, nobody came,

and I'm still lost to the night.

Let's be honest, let's get real,

I never posed much of a fight.
