VII - That jerk!

Veronica's POV

"Love, bakit gamit ni Brent yung kotse mo kanina?" I asked Brian. Napansin ko kasing kotse niya ang ginamit ni Brent when he picked me up a while ago. Buti nga medyo tahimik siya kanina kaya hindi ako masyadong nabwisit sa kanya.

Lunch break namin ngayon and we were sitting at our usual spot dito sa caf.

"Ah, that's what he asked para daw sunduin ka niya." He answered habang tinatanggal ang balat ng chicken niya. He knows how much I love fried chicken skin kaya automatic nang binibigay niya sa akin yung kanya whenever we eat together.

"But I thought that's your favorite car?" I asked again, remembering that he mentioned it before. Nakalimutan ko nga lang kung bakit favorite niya 'yon.

"Kaya nga. 'Yon kaya unang kotse ko and I bought it using my own money." Kwento niya which also reminded me kung bakit favorite niya ang Porsche na 'yon.

"Pero hayaan mo na. I have another car naman." He said after a few seconds of our silence. "And it's for you anyway." He added and gave me a warm smile.

"O sige na, wag ka nang pa-cute. Kinilig na ako." I teased kaya tinawanan niya ako.

Pero seryoso, I somehow find it sweet kahit na simpleng bagay lang 'yon. It made me feel like he's ready to trade something important for him para lang sa akin. Sweet.

"So," I started. "Hindi na ako papayag na hindi ikaw ang maghahatid sa akin mamaya."

Nag-isip siya saglit. "Hmm. . . I'll try."

I frowned at that.

"Love, marami kasi talagang pinapagawa ang mga prof namin ngayon." He explained with a hint of sweetness in his voice. "Pero itatry ko talaga. Promise."

I didn't answer. I just looked away.

"Love," He called. Pero hindi ko pa rin siya pinansin.

He took my forefinger at sinundot 'yon on one of his dimples. Normally, it would make me smile---Ang cute kasi talaga ng dimples niya which is what I don't have---pero hindi ngayon. Kailangan ko pa ng konting lambing.

"Love, itatry ko naman eh. I'll see what I can do." He said again, his voice a little more sweeter this time.

Hindi ko pa rin sana siya papansinin but he cupped my face and gave me a peck on my lips.

"Hoy, ano ba!" Sita ko sa kanya. "Baka may makakita! You know na bawal ang PDA dito."

We just stared at each other for a moment at nang hindi ko na mapigilan, napa-ngiti na ako.

"Edi nag-smile ka na." Natatawang sabi niya. "Gusto pang kini-kiss eh."

"Hindi kaya!" I protested and rolled my eyes playfully.

"Ako naman kiss mo." Hirit niya pero tumanggi ako.

"Ay sakit naman no'n." He said ang acted like he was hurt. "Grabe ka, Love ah. Sinaktan mo yung feelings k---"

May sasabihin dapat siya but I cut him off when I gave him a passionate kiss.

Minsan talaga, pinagpapasalamat ko yung kulitan namin ni Brian na ganito.

It makes me feel na mali yung sinabi ni Veera.

It makes me feel na sigurado akong mahal ko si Brian.

"Okay, class dismissed." Nagsitayuan agad kami ng mga classmates pagkatapos magsalita ni prof. Pare-pareho kaming atat umuwi eh.
