Matt's POV

I watched Dani glaring at me. Zack was single handedly fucking up my life in one night. Why the fuck would he think it was a good idea to invite Victoria? Yes I knew he was angry at Kat, but it was my relationship he was fucking up, even though I was doing a pretty good job of that myself.

I took a mouthful of my beer, looking around. Everyone I wanted was here and I was at least going to try and have a good time.

"So." Victoria said to me, smiling. "Zack told me all about what your little girlfriend did."

I looked at her. It really wasn't any of her business. "So?"

"So." She smirked. "Is that the sort of person you want in your life?"

I shook my head, walking away from her. I really wished Zack hadn't fucking invited her.

"What are you doing mate?" Brian asked, stepping in front of me, clutching a beer.

"Getting another drink." I mumbled, draining the drink I had.

He nodded. "Fair enough." He said. "But you know that's not what I'm talking about."

"Look." I mumbled, but just like his girlfriend he cut me off.

"Man all I'm saying is it's your life." He hissed. "But are you really going to throw that away because of Zack?"

"No." I mumbled. "I'm not."

"Well for fuck sake apologise to her dick head." He hissed at me. "Because you're pretty fucking close to losing her and let me tell you it will be all your fucking fault."

"It's none of your fucking business." I snapped at him, sick of everyone thinking they could have an opinion on my relationship.

"Obviously not." He said nodding over at Victoria. "But just for the record, you fucked up, big time."

"Look." I hissed. "I didn't fucking invite her."

"But you didn't tell her to get lost either." Brian hissed back. "And don't think for a second that Kat doesn't know what's going on."

I glanced over at Kat, she was standing there, talking to Dani and a few other girls, and Brian was right, she didn't look happy.

"Look." I said to him, having a hard time dragging my eye's away from Kat. "We are having an argument, that's all, nobody is breaking up with anybody."

He smiled, nodding. "Keep telling yourself that." He muttered, walking away.

Great, this night was turning out to be a disaster and now I was kind of wishing I could get Kat alone and apologise to her.

I looked over at her again. Fuck, I didn't want to lose her and Brian was right, maybe I had gone too far.

"Matthew." My Mother said suddenly appearing beside me. "I've spoken to Kat, we're going to the do the cake soon."

"Yeah okay." I mumbled, going over to grab another beer before my Mom could lecture me as well.

My Mother loved Kat and I knew she knew what was going on as well and I was just a little tired of being lectured right now.

I sat down, taking a drink. I needed to make it up to Kat, I really did. My temper got out of control and instead of listening to her side of the story I just went off the deep end instead. I was an idiot.

"I never did give you your birthday present." Victoria murmured, suddenly appearing and sitting next to me.

"I probably don't want it." I muttered, looking around.
