Chapter 26: My dear Caycee (Derrick P.O.V)

"DO I HAVE TO DO EVERYTHING ROUND HERE FOR MYSELF?! WHAT AM I PAYING YOU FOR?!" I yell at my men. They can't seem to do anything right nowadays.

"Sorry boss. We lost them, we tried to find them but it's like they just disappeared. We asked around in the clubs but they hadn't seen any of them either." one of my men says.

"I DON'T CARE, I GAVE YOU ONE TASK AND YOU FUCKED THAT UP!". I take a breath and compose myself. "What do you have to say for yourself?"

"Sorry boss."

"Get out of my office." I say calmly, but they don't move.

"Did I stutter? GET OUT!" I yell, they scramble out of my office closing the door behind whiles I take a deep breath. All my plans were going wrong. Caycee was meant to be back with me by now but these idiots can't seem to do anything accordingly. I get up and walk over to the bookcase pouring myself a drink adding to ice cubes in. Katie hated it when I drinked but I can't help it, I drink when I'm stressed and I'm always stressed. The phones rings interupting my thoughts.

"What?" I say down the phone.

Silence.

"Hello?" I say.

Still silence.

"Look I don't' have time for your games, speak or don't ever ring me again." I say sternly.

"Oh Derrick, I see your still the same." The voice says. The voice sounds so familiar.

"Who is this?"

"How can you not know who this is? But then again, I guess that's not such a bad thing.

"Stop messing around. Who is this? I'll find out eventually, I always find out."

"Ah, I'm not sure you will this time. But all you have to know is that you will get what's coming to you in time, and you will wish you weren't alive, begging for mercy."

"I don-" before I am able to speak the line goes dead. I put down the phone and pause for a minute. Who could that have been? I pick up the phone and call for one of my men and wait patiently.

"Yes boss?"

"I need you to trace the number that last called the office."

"Yes sir." He walks out the office and I lean back in my chair looking at the ceiling. Oh caycee, my dear Caycee, I can't wait to have you back.

Craig P.O.V

I put down the phone after talking with my dad arranging to meet with him tomorrow to discuss what him and his team have come up with. I've decided not to bring Caycee this time though, I want her to be in this as little as possible. Thinking about these past few weeks, it's scary how attached I've become to Caycee even though I've known her for a short time. I sigh thinking about the mess we're in. The fact that Marcus is involved makes my blood boil. I grew up with that kid and this is how he betrays me?

"Craig!" My mom calls from downstairs.

"Yes mom?"

"Come down for a minute I need to talk to you" she says. I chuck my phone to the side and go downstairs to meet her and Caycee sat at the kitchen table.

"Destiny is coming later so me and aunt may were thinking we could all go out for a meal or something?"

"Yeah that sounds cool" I say as I take a seat next to Caycee. I place a kiss on her cheek making her blush as usual and turn to face my mom.

"Where we gonna go?" Caycee asks.

"We could go to that Chinese place near the park?" Aunt May suggests. "I heard they do some good food there."

"Yeah that sounds good to me." my mom says. "okay that was all, you can go now." I get up and take Caycee's hand in mind leading her back upstairs to our room. I lay down on the bed pulling Caycee down onto my chest and circling my arms round her waist.

"You sure you wanna go out later?" I ask her. She looks up and smiles, pecking me on my lips.

"Yeah I'm sure, it'll make a change, take my mind of things. What about you?"

"I don't mind really, my main concern is Marcus, everytime I see him I just want to punch him-"

"But you can't" She says cutting me off. I sigh and pull her closer.

"I know, I know. As long as I don't have to sit near him I'll be alright I guess." I say laughing lightly. "You're not sitting near him either."

"Wasn't planning on it to be honest." She says laughing. I smile down at her, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "You're so beautiful"

"Eh, I try for you" she says smiling up at me.

"You don't even have to try though, you're just naturally perfect."

"You're so-"

"Ay Craig you wanna go to the park for a bit before dinner? Play a bit of ball, check out the ladies?" Marcus says barging into our room.

"Okay one, knock next time, and two no I don't I'm tired and spending time with Caycee." I say in the nicest voice I could.

"C'mon man, I wanna spend time with my little cousin." he says grinning and all I want to do is knock that smile of his face

"Nah man, another time." He dramatically sighs. "Alright." He closes the door and I let out a deep breath.

"You handled that well." Caycee says before placing a kiss on my cheek.

"I have to, I don't know how I'm gonna cope later." I say.

"You'll be just fine, you know how to handle things effieciently, that's what I love about you." I smile and kiss her forehead, slowly making my way down to her soft, plump lips. I kiss her deeply, not pausing for air and then pull away, leaving her breathless. I smirk as she tried to compose herself.

"As long as I have you with me, I'll be fine."
