Those Little Things

Those little things.

The ones that make you happy,

Stop you from being sad and snappy.

The ray of sunshine in your rainy day,

Comes through the clouds to guide the way.

Those little things.

The ones that make you think,

Should I have covered this mistake with ink?

Why did I do that, when I could have done this?

Do I do it? Is it an opportunity I can miss?

Those little things.

The ones that make you sad,

But secretly you are glad.

You are proud of every little scar,

Because they make you who you are.

Those little things.

The ones you can never forget,

It's not something your mind will let.

Breathtaking, inspirational, astounding,

Leaving your head whirling and heart pounding.

Those little things.

The ones you rely on,

You don't see them until they are gone.

And then you want them and need them in vain,

When you know you won't see them again.
