14 Days Until The War

Zircon laid there staring at the stars on the silo thinking about her unexpected fusion with Connie. She sat there thinking of how the two looked together. "A tan look, long black hair..and regular clothes..was she in more control than me? Our Diamond where was it? It wasn't on our arms..what's our weapon? Argh!!" She hit the silo making it dent even more. "Woah there Zircon we have enough dents already." Zircon looked over at Lapis then looked back at the sky. "Sorry." "What's going on?" "I accidentally fused with Connie." "I thought she was a human? How did that happen?" "All I did was protect her from getting crushed and then poof we were fused. She called out for Garnet and I quickly broke the fusion..it was so weird and unusual."
    "Hmph...maybe its because you really care about her." "That shouldn't mean anything Lapis, humans shouldn't be able to fuse at all." "Well she can fuse with Steven and he's a gem, what makes you think you're any different?" Zircon looked at Lapis again and smiled. "Diamonds aren't supposed to fuse with anyone really..but I still do-well did." "You might be breaking rules but at least you have fun with it right?" "Huh...I guess you're right Lapis." Zircon stood up and extended her hand out for Lapis to grab. "Thanks again." Lapis grabbed it and smiled as Zircon lifted her up. "Anything for a friend." Zircon jumped down and ran back to the warp pad. "Lapissss!!" "Up here!!" Zircon smiled at the two and warped back to the house. "You're back!" She heard Pearl say. "Yea.." Everyone looked at her as she walked in the living room.

   "Sorry I left unexpectedly I just needed some time to myself." "Its ok Zircon we understand!" Steven ran up to her and hugged her almost knocking her over. "I'm glad you do Steven." She looked at Connie then at Garnet. "We need to talk about what happened Zircon." Zircon reluctantly sat by garnet and crossed her arms. "Ok." "Now, from the very beginning what happened." "I was fighting the monster like I said I was, and managed to get it to fall in defeat next thing you know I see Connie running my way and I'm thinking to myself, 'oh no!' Cause the Diamond was going to land right where she was, so I ran over to her and grabbed her holding her close to me, a bright light shined and then it landed..after that bright light whoever opened her eyes looked at her reflection in the Diamond and gasped summoning her unknown weapon quickly destroying it out of Fear of herself..she was in control and scared the whole time she didn't know what to do so she emerged from the smoke and calls out to the only person who knows about fusion. She let her long thick black hair flow in the wind, dusted off her matching shirt with Steven, and fixing her shorts as she kept slowly walking...she wiped her diamond clear blue eyes so she could see, she looked at her tan hands and felt her arms looking for her missing Diamond. Then she felt her head touching her strong Diamond..then quickly unfused separating letting me and Connie look at each other before I left."
    "Do you think you can do it again?" "What!? No way!" "Zircon this is more than just important I need to find out how this is happening. A Diamond shouldn't be able to fuse with Humans and you know this." "Maybe she's different now Garnet. Maybe that gem I gave her to heal her stayed with her. I can't just get up and fuse with her, honestly...it doesn't feel right." "I know it doesn't but Zircon-" "it won't happen unless something serious is about to happen and she's going to get hurt!" Steven summoned his shield and threw it up hitting a large loose pillar making it slowly fall over towards Connie. "Steven!" Zircon said grabbing Connie again, making a bright blue light shine then fade as they saw the once again confused fusion. "AH! WH-WHATS HAPPENING!?" "Calm down." Garnet put her hands on the fusions shoulders and gave a small smile. "How do you feel being the fusion of Zircon and Connie?" "I'm a fusion? I..feel like one singular person.." "Ah. So you're like Morganite..you feel as if you are yourself and no one else." "But Morganite was made out of love." "And she's made out of pure friendship." Garnet said to Pearl.

    "Pure friendship? That sounds cool!" Steven said with stars in his eyes. "Do you know your name?" "I have a name?" Garnet looked at her forehead and saw Zircons Diamond there. "Zirconnie!" Steven said playfully making her giggle at his silly name. "You're a special one now aren't you?" Garnet said sitting down on the couch. "Do you have any memory of Home world?" Steven looked up at pearl confused then back at 'Zirconnie'. "Why would she have memory of Home World?" "She's someone rare Steven." "She's an enchantress!!" Pearl said in excitement. "Enchantress?" Amethyst crossed her arms and leaned on the wall. "She's pretty powerful actually she heals and destroys. Its entirely up to her." "And her name is above all names and known all over." "Kyanite." Pearl said immediately after Garnet. "Ugh!" Kyanite grabbed her head and dropped to her knees. "Steven!?" She covered her mouth and fell back quickly sitting up. "What's happening!?" She said in a panic.

   "Connie can't take all of the memories Zircon processes through there. You have to unfuse now! Zircon you can overload Connie's brain with to much stuff!" Garnet stood up as fast as she could and held Kyanite up. "Unfuse now!" The two unfused falling onto the floor. "Ow..." Connie said rubbing her head. "Sorry Connie..I was thinking to much." "Its OK." "You said you've seen Kyanite before?" Zircon said helping Connie up. "Yes..a long time ago.." "What do you mean a long time ago?" "Well....there were kind of more Zircon and one fused with Connie's ancestors..resulting in..Kyanite." Zircon sat there in disbelief and laughed a bit. "More Zircons?" She asked Pearl. "Only one." Garnet said trying to make her feel better. "My ancestors!?" "We have a lot to explain don't we?" Pearl said laughing nervously.
