"Sorry" I murmured to myself, shoving the guard off of me and into a bloody heap on the floor.

After the guard had opened the door, I made my move. I lunged at him before he had the chance to crossover, and my dagger plunged through his gut. But he didn't go down so easily.

We wrestled a bit on the floor of the room, his blood smearing the grey concrete as well as my hands as I stabbed him a couple more times. I mean it's not like I wanted to kill him. My plan was just going to be to weaken him and then make my escape. But it easily became clear that he wasn't going to let me leave without a fight.

I used the shirt he had been wearing and used a clean part of it to wipe the blood from my dagger before I slipped it back into my boot holster. I stood straight and righted my black long sleeved shirt. Alright. Now what?

My Hood.

I knew for a fact that there would be no way that I was going to leave this place without my hood. It was apart of me.

But if I stay here any longer, there was a high risk that I was going to get caught.

F*ck it. I'll get it back later.

I was not about to risk Will capturing me again for a warm piece of red cloth. Even though it meant the world to me. It was apart of who I was, that was for sure.

I stepped out of the room, glancing back at the un-moving wolf before making my way down the long corridor. I was careful to step lightly on the concrete, trying to avoid the sound my heeled boot made.

The last time I was here, I was kept in a different room. But that was almost two years ago. And I didn't really remember how I got out or how long it took.

"I heard yelling, I'm telling you. We need to check up on the newbie" A gruff voice from down the hall spoke to another.

Newbie? Yikes. Sorry new guy, my bad

I turned my head to the left of me, and then to the right, only seeing one other option for my escape out of this place. Which was obviously to kill the two wolves that were headed in my direction.

"Where do you think you're going?" a new voice entered and I held my breath, finding myself backing up in the direction of the room that I had just escaped. Will was coming.

"We.. we were just checking up on-"

"I already put someone in charge of her. There needn't be more than one," he barked, his voice a lot louder than the other ones were.

"We heard something weird coming from down this hall though, Sir Wolf-"

"Just go back to wherever you're supposed to be" he grumbled out annoyingly, making his way in this direction.

I went to turn on my heels, retreating back into the room I had just been captured in, until I heard a fourth voice enter.

"Will. I'm not finished with you, son" His father.

I could only imagine Will rolling his eyes, "I'm checking on Ruby, dad"

"The girl? She's weak, she won't be able to get out of that room"

"She's stronger  than you think she is-"

"Get back into my office, we have more to discuss"

"Ruby-"

"Now-"

"I'll do whatever the f*ck I want" he spat back, advancing in my general direction more. His father grumbled curses loud enough to echo in the halls.

"You have 5 minutes"

"See you in 10" was his smart ass reply, before I heard three pairs of footsteps walk off, and one round the corner of the only hall connected to this one.

While I happened to stand stock still, Will didn't even look the least bit surprised that I had managed to escape the room, and he grabbed my arm, dragging me down the hall and back into the room.

"F*ck, kitten," he took a second to look at the dead wolf on the floor, and the blood smeared along the concrete messily, "We just finished training him"

I shrugged my shoulders, deciding to play along, "How was I supposed to know that?"

Shaking his head at me, he let go of my arm as he then moved to the other end of the room, feeling along the walls until one single brick caved in.

"What exactly are you doing?" I finally asked him the question that was beginning to burn on the tip of my tongue, and he took a step back from the wall as it began to shift inward, and then to the left, opening up a hidden door that hadn't been there only seconds ago.

"Let's go" he mumbled, looking over his shoulder. Noticing that I wasn't moving, he crossed his arms over his chest .

"You coming, Red?"

I bit my lip, taking a look into the dark cave that seemed to lead deeper into darkness, and then back at his smirking expression.

"Where does that lead?"

He cocked his head to the side, his dark hair flopping into his eyes a bit, his grey eyes glinting with amusement, "You really think that I'm going to tell you?"

"No. Which is why I'm not going with you"

He rolled his eyes, huffing out an annoyed breath, "Kitten. It's a cave"

"I have eyes, twilight," I scowled, "I can see that"

"Then let's-"

"I want my hood first" I mirrored his own expression, crossing my arms over my chest.

Another huff, "That's not going to happen, Ruby"

"Well then make it happen. I'm not going anywhere with you until I have it" I argued. That hood will continue to be one of my most prized possessions, and I was not going to leave here without it, no matter what he planned to do with me.

"What if I told you that it was on the other end of this cave?" he inquired, uncrossing his arms and running a hand through his hair.

I leaned my wait onto one foot, thinking before I answered his trick question, "Bring it to me first. Unless I'm wearing it, then I'm not moving"

He playfully pouted, but I could see the annoyance in his eyes, "Why would I do that? The hood will cover up those flawless legs of yours, Kitten"

I rolled my eyes, "Get the cape and I'll do what you want me to"

Mischief was in his eyes again, "Whatever I want? Even-"

"You have 5 seconds to make up your mind" I cut him off, and he smirked yet rolled his eyes at the same time.

"Fine. Have it your way Red"
