Simon patiently waited for JJ to walk through the door with his bags and Mia's presents that he promised to get her. Few hours later. "Dad is Papa really coming?"
"Of course he is sweetie. He's just late." Simon explained. "Okay. Can I play until then?" Mia asked. Simon nodded. "Go ahead, but come back before Papa gets here."
Another few hours later:
Simon woke up from a notification from his phone. He grabbed it hoping it was JJ saying he was here. It was JJ just not the message he expected.
❤️️🙄JJ😍❤️️: Sorry Si. I won't be there until Friday. I have more work to do. Please forgive me and tell Mia I said goodnight. Gotta go back to work. LU
Simon stared at the message and put his phone on the table. He went back to the room. He had already told Mia she could go to bed and went to sleep himself.
