She saw a note on her desk and smiled as she recognised the writing,

"We haven't had a picnic in our favourite place for a long time sweetheart... Why not head up there now..."

She ran her hands over his notes a Michael appeared, "should have known you had something to do with this,"

"Like I said, just call me your fairy godfather,"

"What's he playing at Michael?" She asked and Michael smiled, "know that your girls are safe with me,"

"Don't feed Betty chocolate or Sophie for that matter," she smiled, squeezing his hand before kissing his cheek,

"Have a great night... God knows you both deserve it,"

"what would I do without you Michael Spence?"

She replaced her heels with trainers and jogged outside,

"These are for you my beautiful girl,"a note read and she picked up the large box. Inside was a pair of nude, suede louboutins, and she smiled, running her fingers over them.

"I was going to meet you here, but it's cold and will soon be dark... there's a taxi waiting for you,"

She got into the taxi and smiled as he took her to a large hotel and spa,

"Connie Beauchamp," she smiled and the lady nodded,

"Your husband is a keeper,"

Connie smiled gently, "I know,"

The woman lead her to the suite at the top of the hotel, she placed her hand on the window sill and looked out across Holby. She laughed as she saw a note on the window, "now how did I know you'd be looking out at the view? Put this dress on and come and meet me at the bar... I can't wait to see you, I know you'll look beautiful."

She shook her head to keep the tears out of her eyes, she loved this man and as she slipped the beautiful gold dress over her body, her smiled as she imagined him choosing it. The dress dipped low at the back and as she slipped her feet into her nude heels she smiled as she looked at herself,

"Jacob masters you're better at choosing dresses than I am," she told herself.

She entered the bar and she saw him stood tall, in a dark suit. She had to stop herself from running over to him.

She didn't say a word and instead placed her hands either side of his face and kissed him. He wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her back as she kissed his lips over and over again.

"You look incredible," he smiled and she smiled as he took her hands and looked her up and down,

"This dress is so beautiful," she smiled as he twirled her around, "I never want to take it off,"

He smiled, pulling her back to him, his hands resting on her bare back, running up and down her skin,

"Your skin is like silk," he smiled and she kissed him again, almost taking his breath away.

"Happy anniversary sweetcheeks," he smiled and she kissed him again,

"You look incredible, what did I do to deserve you?"

"I love you," she told him and he smiled, "do you want a drink?" He asked and she nodded, "white wine please,"

She stood close to his chest as they waited to be seated. His hands ran through her dark hair and she placed her wine down as she leaned forwards to kiss his lips gently,

"Happy three year anniversary staff nurse masters,"

"Three years?" He smiled, "that's flown by,"

They followed the waitress to their seats and she smiled as she looked out onto the well lit patio, "the view from here is beautiful," she nodded as they over looked the lake,

"My view is even better," he smiled and she took his hands a squeezed it.

After dinner, he lead her outside, his arm around her shoulders as he kissed her temple gently.

When they neared an orchestra stand she smiled as he lead her up the small steps.

She looked out at the view around her, and turned as he took her hand. Her free hand flew to her mouth as she saw Jacob on one knee. He let go of her hand and rummaged in his pocket, smiling as he found the small box,

"I love you Connie Beauchamp and I'm sure I fall a little more in love with you every day. I would be the happiest person alive if you would agree to become my wife... Will you marry me sweet cheeks?"

She couldn't help the tears that rolled down her cheeks,

He stood up, his heart in his mouth,

"Will you put this on?"

She shook her head and all of a sudden he felt like the world had tipped upside down,

"You put it on me..." She smiled, evidently still in shock,

"I thought you were saying no for a moment there," he smiled and she watched as he slid the perfectly fitting sparkling ring onto her finger,

"Yes Jacob Masters, yes I'll marry you," she cried and she wrapped her arms around him. She sobbed into his chest and he wiped her tears, "Connie,"

"These are happy tears," she told him,

"Don't cry babe," he smiled, dancing with her as the orchestra came onto the stage as he lead her down the stairs.

They danced closely and she found she couldn't stop the tears from falling all over again, "I'm happy," she told him, "and after the last few months this is all so emotional I..."

She kissed his cheek, "I really love you Jacob... I can't wait to become Mrs. Masters,"

"You want to take my name?" He asked, spinning her away and then back towards him,

"You thought I wouldn't want too?"

He shrugged, "I just thought you liked the name Beauchamp... I mean you kept it when you married Sam..."

She smiled, "I want to be Mrs. Masters... If you want that too..."

"I want nothing more."
