Ariana's POV


For the past 2 months, Louis was very secretive. I had no idea what was going on.

I decided to ask him. I went to my wardrobe and found maternity clothing. I smiled knowing it was Louis who must have brought them for me.

I put them on and went downstairs.

"Louis?!?" I shouted. He was nowhere to be seen.

I went to the kitchen where he usually left a note, but there was none. I got worried.

My head started hurting and I could barely walk. Then I saw blackness.


Louis POV


Me and the boys went to get some more stuff before I was actually going to show Ariana the room.

Then an idea came into my mind. Ne and Ari have been together for so long I think she deserves a promise ring. I smiled like an idiot and the boys were looking at me with the 'why the hell is he smiling like an idiot' face.

"Well.. since me and Ari have been together for so long I was think-" and then Harry interrupted.

"Don't even dare to say that you want to get an engagement ring or I will break that pretty head of yours!" he said.

I laughed and shook my head.

"I was actually thinking of a promise ring. It would be a promise that I'm willing to keep for the rest of my life" I said.

"What promise is that?" asked Zayn.

"Loving Ariana for the rest of my life. And being by her side. Also keeping her safe but not only her but my children as well" I said as we walked past a jewellery store.

I stopped and went back. I turned my head to look at the stall. There I saw the most prettiest ring.

It was silver with a pink heart in the middle and had an engraving on the side 'I love you' and it had a small heart.

I smiled. She was going to love it.

I told the boys to wait outside while I'm going to buy the ring.

I told the lady which one it was and she gave it to me. I called Liam in.

"Liam. Can you call Danielle? She has the same fingers as Ariana" and he nodded. 10 minutes later Danielle arrives.

Liam shows her the ring without saying.

"Liam? What are you doing?" she asks.

"Give me your finger" he said with a serious face.

I saw her sweating. She was probably thinking he was engaging with her.

I shook my head. I took a piece of paper and wrote 'Its not for you. It's a promise ring for Ariana. I want to check the size since both of you are the same size' and she nodded.

She examined her finger.

"Perfect! She'll love it" she said.

Liam was startled.

"H-how....what? I thought you were going to think its an engagement ring for you from me" he said with a confused face.

Danielle pointed at me and I held the sheet out.

"Right. I knew that!" he said.

Me and Danielle laughed.

"Sure you did" and I took the ring from her. I gave it to the cashier and I paid.

I put it into a black little box.

Since Danielle was with us, we went home with her.

I opened the door and saw Ariana lying on the floor.

"Shit! Liam! Call the ambulance!!" I shouted.

I went to Ariana to check her pulse. It was there.

I locked my lips with her's. "Ari... Ari." I said.

Then I saw her open her eyes.

I felt relieved and kissed her instantly.

"What happened?" she asked.

"You fainted. I just got home. Me and the boys went for a walk" I said and hugged her. "Can you get up? Do you need an ambulance?" I asked.

She shook her head. "No don't worry. All I need is a glass of water and you to cuddle up" she said softly.

I picked her up and carried to her to the living room. The boys ran straight up to her but obviously Harry was the first one. He hugged her and kissed her forehead.

"OMG! Ari are you ok!?"

She just nodded her head. I brought water and gave it to her. She drank it all.

"Oh... Ari. I have a surprise for you" I said. I went upstairs and took the unisex baby clothes.

I went downstairs and hid them behind my back. When I got to her, I took them out.

She gasped. She started shedding a few tears.

"When did you get that? It's beautiful" she said and hugged me.

"I got it over 2 months ago" I said.

"So that was why you were all secretive lately" she said and I nodded.

"BUT THAT'S NOT ALL!!" Me and the boys shouted. I carried her upstairs.

"Liam.. open the door. The keys are in my back pocket" I said.

"Hell no! I ain't touching your butt" he said plainly.

"I'll do it" said Ari as she wiggled out so I can put her down. She went behind me.

She started searching my back pockets until she found the keys. I looked at the boys and their eyes were covered with their hands.

Me, Ari and Danielle were the only sensible ones as the boys hid their faces in their hands so they don't see Ariana touching my butt. I laughed.

"Can you stand up?" I asked her. She nodded. "Guys, it's fine" and their hands went by their sides. "Harry, take my scarf. Wrap it around Ari's eyes" I said to him as he took the scarf and wrapped it around Ari's eyes so she doesn't see.

I started unlocking the door. I opened the door, letting them open wide. I heard Danielle gasp. I smiled.

I took her inside and took my scarf off her eyes.

I saw her gasp as she looked around the room.

"Louis? You did this all by yourself?" she asked. I shook my head.

"With the help of your brother and the boys" I said as I high-fived them.

"But I swear it's a boy?" she asked me.

"Nope. I told the nurse to tell you it's a different gender so I can do the surprise" I said. She ran to me and hugged me.

"Thank you. It's beautiful" she said as she started crying.

"That's not all" I said to her.

The boys had huge grins on their faces.

I went downstairs to get the little box.

I went back upstairs and took Ari's hands.

"Ari.. I love you with all my heart. I promise to keep you and our children safe. I promise to love you everyday. Will you do me the honour and wear this promise ring as a sign of my love for you?" I asked her.

She was crying. She nodded her head before whispering a "yes" and an "I love you". I took the ring out of the box and it it on her left hand where the marriage ring should be.

I cupped her face and kissed her in front of everyone. They all cheered. I held Ariana by the waist.

Then she pulled hot and stood there in pain, clutching her stomach.

"Somebody call the ambulance!!!" I shouted and held Ari close while she was crying tears full of pain and she was clutching at her stomach.
