7. No More Secrets

Rose awoke the next morning to the sun shining in her face. She rolled over on her back and stared at the ceiling. She vaguely recalled what happened the night before. Forbidden Forest. Holding Hands. Quidditch. Kiss. It had all happened so fast, Rose felt like she barely had time to breathe. But she loved it. Everything she did with Scorpius seemed magical and surreal. She loved being with him. It made everything better.
She decided to get up and go wake Scorpius. She slipped out of her room and went towards the staircase down to the common room. She slowed as she walked past Frank's room; he was still in the hospital and Madam Pomfrey didn't expect him to wake up anytime soon. Rose kept walking. Down the stairs to the common room, then back up the stairs to the Slytherin Head's dormitories. Rose passed Albus's room first. She walked by slowly so she wouldn't wake him. Then she reached Scorpius's bedroom door.
Rose turned the knob carefully and slipped inside. Scorpius was still sound asleep. She crept around the side of the bed and leaned over Scorpius's head. She put her lips next to his ear.
"I am your murderer," Rose whispered into his ear.
Scorpius shot up in bed, breathing heavily. Rose giggled. Scorpius whipped around to face her.
"What are you doing in here, Rose?" Scorpius asked, thoroughly confused.
Rose crossed her arms and giggled, watching Scorpius carefully.
"You whispered in my ear!" Scorpius said with a sharp intake of breath.
Scorpius picked up one of his pillows and threw it at Rose. She ducked just in time. The pillow whizzed over her head and landed next to Scorpius's desk. Scorpius frowned at her. Then he remembered: Rose Weasley only had one weakness.
He grabbed her by the waist and set her down on his bed. Scorpius immediately began to tickle her. Rose giggled uncontrollably.
"Hush, Rose! You'll wake up the whole castle with your loud pig snorts!" Scorpius teased.
Rose sat up quickly, startling Scorpius.
"Scorpius! We have to be quieter! We will wake Albus! He can't see us in here together!" Rose said, clamping a hand over her mouth.
Scorpius thought this over for a moment. Then, he wrapped his arms around Rose's waist and pulled her close to him. He put his chin on her shoulder and his lips next to her ear.
"I don't care," Scorpius whispered softly.
Rose smiled and pulled away to look at Scorpius.
She didn't know what to say, so she kissed him. He kissed her back passionately. They finally broke apart after a few minutes. The two looked at each other with smiles on their faces.
"I hate to ruin the moment, but I need to get dressed," Scorpius said sadly.
Rose nodded and turned to leave.
"You can stay!" Scorpius called to her.
Rose turned around and smiled.
"I'd love to," Rose replied sweetly.
Scorpius patted a spot on his bed and Rose sat down.
"I'll only be a minute," Scorpius assured her.
As Scorpius began to undress, Rose closed her eyes to give him privacy.
"So what do you want to do today, Rose?" Scorpius asked.
"I don't know," Rose replied.
"Hey Rose?" Scorpius said after a long pause.
"Yeah?" Rose said.
"How would you feel about making our relationship public?" Scorpius asked.
Rose paused for a minute, her brain in complete shock.
"I don't know, Scorpius. I mean, with my cousins...they would probably notify my parents," Rose said truthfully.
"I understand," Scorpius replied.
Suddenly, Rose felt Scorpius's lips on hers. He kissed her gently. She kissed back with passion. He released her and she opened her eyes. He stood in a pair of lightly colored jeans and a gray t-shirt. Rose smiled up at him. He held out his hand and helped her to her feet.
Rose took Scorpius's hand and guided him to her room. He sat on her bed while she dressed. At one point, Scorpius tried to sneak a peek at Rose while she had her back turned, but she turned back around as he opened his eyes.
"Scorpius Malfoy!" Rose had said.
Scorpius had closed his eyes with a devious smile on his face.

After Rose had dressed, the two went down to breakfast in the Great Hall together. No one else was there, so they walked inside the hall, hand in hand, and sat down at the Gryffindor table together. Rose sat on Scorpius's lap and the two ate eggs, bacon, and toast. They finished eating and went to the Room of Requirement for privacy. Rose paced back and forth in front of a blank wall until a door appeared. The two went inside to find a cozy room with one couch, a fireplace, food, and a small house elf.
"Hello! My name is Nellie," the house elf said politely, bowing low to Rose and Scorpius.
"Hello, Nellie. I'm Rose and this is Scorpius," Rose said, reaching down to shake the elf's tiny hand.
"It's a pleasure to meet you two," Nellie said.
Rose smiled. Rose and Scorpius sat down on the couch and Nellie went to her room to give them privacy.
"What do you want to do while we're here?" Scorpius asked while he played with a lock of Rose's red hair.
"We could have some fun. I know a great game we could play," Rose said.
"Oh yeah? What's that?" Scorpius asked.
"It's called Truth or Dare. One person asks the other truth or dare and you have to choose to get either a truth question or a dare to complete," Rose explained.
"Let's do it," Scorpius said.
"Okay. I'll go first. Truth or dare?" Rose asked.
"Wait. I have a way to make this even more fun," Scorpius said.
Just then, a bottle appeared on the table in front of the couch.
"That's Veritaserum," Rose said.
"Yep," Scorpius said.
"Scorpius..." Rose said, unsure.
Scorpius grabbed the bottle and tipped some of the liquid into the cap. He drank some and poured some for Rose. She paused a moment before pouring the liquid down her throat as well. Rose set the bottle down.
"Truth or dare?" Rose asked Scorpius again.
"Dare," Scorpius said.
"Okay...I dare you to run through the castle wearing only your underwear," Rose said confidently.
"Okay," Scorpius replied.
He undressed until he was only in his underwear and ran out the door of the Room of Requirement. He ran around the castle once while a few students stopped to stare. When he returned to the Room of Requirement, Rose was standing at the open door laughing.
Scorpius ran back in and put his clothes back on.
"Good job, babe. Your turn," Rose said as soon as Scorpius was clothed.
"Truth or dare?" Scorpius asked.
"Truth," Rose said.
"Do you love me?" Scorpius asked.
Rose spoke before she had time to think.
"Yes," she said.
Scorpius gasped and covered his mouth with his hand. Rose did the same once she realized what she had said. Just then, the door to the Room of Requirement opened and Albus ran in, closely followed by Lily.
"What are you doing here?" Rose asked.
"I could ask you two the same thing," Albus replied.
"We're being alone together," Rose replied.
"What?!" Albus and Lily exclaimed.
"We're dating," Scorpius blurted out.
Rose reached over and slapped Scorpius across his face. Scorpius slapped her back. They each covered their mouths with their hands again and looked over at Albus and Lily.
"You're dating?!" Albus and Lily exclaimed simultaneously.
"I guess there's no more secrets," Rose said with a shrug.

I really like how this chapter turned out. I thought the Veritaserum was funny tho! I actually partially got that idea from the book The Dare Game which is another great Scorose fanfiction by @rowancookie. You guys should read it.
