All of these thoughts race through Hugo's mind as he plans to propose to Varian. Doubt races his mind, as what if Varian says no? And Varian is also worried, what if he levitates again? And Hugo seems to be acting weird, but Varian can't help. He loves the blonde, and is worried for him. On their way to Tonitrua, they struggle to decide if it's worth it. What else might happen to them?

While doing so, he meets his old friend Cassandra, who had been forgiven easily for her crimes when she did much more than what Varian commited just because Rapunzel places Cassandra dearly than Varian. This story is about how people gas lights Varian so much to make himself believe it was "just" all his fault when any other characters, like Cassandra, Rapunzel, Eugene, name anybody, would certainly do anything to get back their loved ones. Varian goes on an adventure to find about himself, learn that only the main characters get a happy ending, the harsh truth, and further develop growing much more logical and reasonable. It also has much more to what Varian had been feeling portrayed much more deeply than the original series. This story is merely a fan-fiction of the sequel, and I do not own the characters.
