Warning: this chapter might be a bit much. I'm not good at these warnings but I think you know what I mean
Chloe packed a bag full of her most important belongings. She had a picture of her, Beca and Giselle from the month before. She missed them already. She began to cry again.
Knock knock knock
Chloe took a deep breath and walked to the door. When she opened it she was relieved to see one of her students and not Tom.
"Jane! What are you doing here?" Chloe said wiping her tears.
"I saw you crying in the parking lot, so I brought you some cookies and I was hoping we could talk." She said. Chloe taught music at the high school and her students loved her.
"Thank you so much for the cookies." Chloe said, then it hit her. Jane had to leave. Tom was coming.
"Can I come in?"
"No! You have to leave. Now." Chloe said frantically.
"Miss Beale? Are you okay?"
"You have to go!" Chloe said, her voice cracking and tears streaming down her cheeks.
"Miss Beale!" Jane yelled as Chloe pushed her out the door. "I want to help!"
"It's not safe for you here! I don't want him to hurt you!" Chloe yelled. She couldn't take it. She couldn't stand it any longer. "Leave!"
"Miss Beale." Jane said softly as the door was slammed in her face.
Chloe ran upstairs and looked in the mirror.
"What happened to you?" She asked herself. "What happened to the brave and confident woman you used to be?"
She heard a bang come from downstairs. "Hello, Baby!" He yelled.
"Be down in a minute!" Chloe said as cheerful as she could. She reapplied her makeup and took her bag downstairs.
Tom grabbed her wrist and held tight. Chloe could feel it bruising.
What Tom and Chloe didn't know was that there was a curious girl hiding in the bushes, watching their every move.
"Long time no see." Tom said and opened the trunk to put Chloe's bag away.
"Yeah. It's been a while." Chloe said.
This seems normal. Jane thought to herself. Why did she freak out earlier?
"I really missed you." He said. Chloe remained silent and looked around. She didn't see Jane.
Out of nowhere, Tom put his lips on Chloe's.
"No." Chloe tried to protest, but he pushed her against the car, causing her to hit her rib. She could barely breath.
Just a friendly kiss. Jane tried to convince herself. She cared about Chloe and admitting to herself that Chloe was being hurt was awful.
Toms hands moved down Chloe's sides and to her pants. He found the button and unbuttoned it. Then reached for the car door. He opened the door and before laying Chloe down in the backseat, he removed her pants.
Tears were streaming down Chloe's face. Can't we wait until we get to the new house? Chloe thought.
Chloe was laying in the backseat of the car in her underwear as Tom removed her shirt revealing her bra. Jane cringed. This was going to be a lot to take in, but it was the best for her teacher. Chloe was like a mother to all of the students.
Tom removed his pants and underwear along with Chloe's underwear and began. Jane tried to focus on Chloe's face.
She looked like she was in pain and Jane took note of that. It was obvious Chloe didn't want this man doing this to her.
Jane took out her phone and dialed 911.
"911 what is your emergency?" They answered.
"This is hard to explain." Jane started. She began to explain what was going on and the woman on the other end of the line listened.
"No!" Jane whisper-yelled.
"What is it ma'am?"
"He just drove away!"
"What is the license plate?"
Jane told the woman the numbers and letters along with the type of car.
"Thank you for calling. We will try to find your teacher." The woman said and hung up.
What just happened? Jane asked herself.
