Central City Mall 7:00 PM
"Why is our prom in the middle of December?" Linda and Artemis had taken the train to the mall and were now in dressing rooms, talking while trying on dresses.
Artemis's eyes widened at the horror that was on her body. "Well," she started as she struggled to pull the thing off, "Our school wants to be special and have our prom at a spontaneous time."
Linda grabbed another dress. "Like how they only let us choose our elective class?" That was the only damn reason she was in AP Chemistry.
"Central City High is weird, but I guess that's why our test scores are the best."
Linda heard Artemis's door open. "Lin come out and see!" Said girl looked at herself in the mirror with the seventh dress that she tried on.
When Linda stepped out, she saw Artemis in a deep green sequin dress.
"Wow."
Both girls said looking at each other.
Linda was wearing a long skin tight red velvet dress that matched well with her pale complexion.
"You look so beaut!" Linda walked up to the big mirror next to Artemis.
"Green has always been your color," Linda said leaning her head on her friend's shoulder.
Artemis scoffed, "You have no idea."
