Her Prince

Chapter 6

Elijah's Pov

We've finally arrived.

I've got Scarlett to be quiet, but for now I'm not sure how good that's going to work.

I knock on the door and wait.

The door opens, and standing there is my best friend.

"Hey there Ej, I wasn't expecting you. Come on in."

I nod at him, and embrace him in the most manly hug ever.

"How you've been buddy?" I say, walking into his house.

"I've been fine. Living in isolation isn't all that it's cracked up to be, but it allows me to get my work done in peace and quiet."

I pat him on the back as he leads me to the living room.

He looks down beside me, and that's when I do a mental face slap.

I completely forgot about my princess.

She's standing slightly behind me, with her hands clutching my jacket.

I unlatch her hands, and pick her up.

"I'm sorry princess." I say nudging her.

"Andie, this here is Scarlett."

He nods and looks thoughtfully at her.

"Is she your little?" He asks.

I give him a duhh look, and he raises his hands in surrender.

"Well why didn't you tell me. Brie and Kasey are right in the other room."
