Chapter 12 - Tears and Hugs

Scarlett's Pov

The first thing that happens after I hit her is Daddy coming over, and yanking my arm.

He pulls me into the house, and up the stairs.

He sits me on the bed then closes the door.

"Scarlett, do you care to explain to me why you put your hands on her? "He said in a steely Voice.

"Well she was being really mean, and she was cussing at me."

"That does not mean you can go around hitting people."

I look down.

"But Daddy don't you remember what she did to me the other day?"

That made him think.

"Ok. I understand. You won't get a spanking this time, but I promise you that if you hit someone without being hit first that I will take pleasure in spanking your behind to your bum is red."

I nod quickly.

He gets on the bed with me then pulls me into his lap.

"Does my baby want to watch tv?"

I nod.

He turns on Spongebob, and I sing along with the theme song.

About 10 minutes later we hear a knock on the door.

"EJ, it's me."

Daddy looks at me then gets up.

He opens the door, and let's Andie in.

"What do you want Andie? Now is really not a good time."

Andie shuffles a bit.

"EJ, I'm sorry. I don't know what has gotten into my babies. She been cranky for a while, but I didn't think anything of it."

Daddy rests his hand on Andie's shoulder.

"It's not your fault. I think we should just keep them away from each for now."

"I agree." Says Andie.

"Is that all that you wanted?"

Andie shakes his head.

"No. I actually had someone here who wants to apologize."

This got my attention.

I leaned over the side of the bed to see someone hiding behind Andie.

Andie gets the person to come out, and it's Kasey.

He looks over to me.

"Scarlett, I'm really really sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you. I was just trying to do the right thing for my sister." He said shuffling from foot to foot.

"Could you ever forgive me?" He says looking at me hopefully.

"You hurt me."

"I know and I'm sorry."
