"Hey Lily!"

Lily looked up from the novel she had been reading to the voice calling her name from the stairs. A girl with silvery blonde hair and dark brown eyes began heading her way.

"I have a really stupid question-"

"Remember I share a dorm with Mary, it can't be that stupid," the redhead replied instantly.

The other Gryffindor girl stumbled over to the couch where Lily was sitting alone. "It's pretty stupid, but can human beings hibernate?"

Lily's face dropped.

"I told you it's stupid Lily."

She shook her head at the other girl. "Well Marciline, that's an interesting question, but no we do not hibernate as humans. Why do you want to know?"

Worry slid onto Marciline's face.

"Well," her eyebrows furrowed. "Damnit! Why did I never ask for her name."

"Hey, hey! Calm down." Lily shouted, gently placing her hand on Marciline's balled up fists.

"But I can't 'cause she's already probably dead because of me."
