When somebody ask for an anime recommendation, I have them bring a notebook where I list all my favorites animes, popular anime, animes I don't like and animes I know people don't like.
I take it serious for a person who wants to watch anime for the first time, will watch the best because it's not going to be because of me that the person stop watching anime.
