I heard,
A spooky noise outside.
And woke up,
Shivering at midnight.
It was dark,
With no hint of light.
I instantly felt,
Something just wasn't right.
I boldly took my pillow,
To put up a bloody fight.
I walked silently,
Trying to avoid a ghastly sight.
I sensed a movement,
And Threw the pillow with all my might.
Saw a squeaky rat,
And said to myself that its alright!.
Somebody giggled and whispered,
'Pillow? That wasn't very bright'.
And then i saw in the dark corner,
Somebody was hanging from the height.
