Jumping Through Magic

•The Game•

"Ready Or Not! Here I come!" Giggles and laughter could be heard from behind the trees and bushes. "Oomph!" A sound was made when the creature face-planted to the golden crispy leaves. Crying was echoed through out the grove as running steps were heard coming from the east.

"Danny!!" The little girl cried out. "Are you okay?" The girl helped the little boy up from the ground. Sniffling, the kid sat up as a dark red scratch appeared on the skin of the boy's cheek. "It hurts!" The kid whined. "Don't worry! I'll get some help." Leaving the boy in the middle of the forest, the girl wondered around, searching for the nearest life-form.

The boy waited. But she never returned. A scream was heard from far into the woods. The little boy got worried and tried to get up to walk, but apparently, his knee was also bruised.

Time went on and eventually the police found the boy only a couple of hours after his friend left. The girl was never found...
