When I said that it hit them like a ton of bricks. Mama thought for a minute.
"Tenn come here"
"What?" I walk into their bedroom stopping at their bathroom doorway. Leaning on the door jam.
"Is that how you really feel?"
"Yes, I don't like the idea of guys getting a divorce but if you're happy apart then I will have to get used to the idea of you two being apart"
Mama hugs me.
"I'm sorry baby girl."
"It's okay" leaning into her, wrapping my arms around her.
"I love you mama."
"I love you too baby."
After a minute of us hugging.
"You look pretty by the way mama."
"Thank you baby"
She notices that I'm wearing the blue dress she wore in the promo pictures for the ACMs the second year her and Blake hosted.
"Is that my dress?"
"Maybe" giggles.
We all finish getting ready and we leave.
Mama and daddy sit next to each other but not touching at all. I sit next mama and uncle Ronnie sits next to me.
"Be careful daddy knows" I say to uncle Ronnie.
"Knows what?"
"You two. They got in a fight before we left."
"Oh."
After mama's performance we leave.

The next day daddy gets his stuff to move out. He goes and files for divorce.
