When I walked in this morning to my first class I started noticing that 5 out of the 12 boys in our class were missing. But, I didn't pay attention to it. When I took my seat I started staring at Ellis, the popular girl and the girl of my dreams. I guess she saw me starring at her and she looked at me like I had ants in my pants.
"Looks like everyone's here except, Max, Brayden, Alex, and Jack. Has anyone seen them?" Mr. Lane, our history teacher, asked nervously.
"I think Brayden is sick. Steve probably made him vomit from his boring PowerPoint yesterday." Jayden joked.
My cheeks turned red. (Jayden has been out to get me ever since he knew that I also liked Ellis. I think they used to be dating, then she dumped him and then he's been trying to win her back.)I looked back to see if Ellis reacted to Jayden's joke. Of course she did, she started giggling behind her hand.
"Ok, class calm down. Jayden apologize to Steve." Mr. Lane said.
"Sorry dufus." Jayden whispered so that everyone could hear except the Mr. Lane.
"Everyone get your science textbooks out and turn to page 37." Mr. Lane said.
I hate Jayden.
