"Mum! Look!" I shouted, clutching my letter tightly.
Mum turned around, her pale blonde hair braided loosely, "Oh, River! Is that your Hogwarts letter?"
I nod, smiling so hard I felt as if my face would rip in two.
Nearly jumping up and down, I slowly broke the seal.
Just as I was pulling the letter from the envelope, my younger brothers walked in.
"Hiya, sis!" Exclaimed Lorcan.
"Whatcha got there?" Asked Lysander.
I finished pulling out my letter, "Hey guys! I've just received my letter for Hogwarts."
The twins eyes lit up.
"Sissy's going to Hogwarts! Sissy's going to Hogwarts!" They chanted, while chasing one another around the kitchen.
Chuckling, I unfolded my letter.

I smiled even wider and clutched my Deathly Hallows necklace my mum gave me for my birthday earlier.
Lysander and Lorcan stopped running and sat down at our table.
I sat down as well, then began eating.

- 4 hours later -

"Can I please just ride Soren?" I asked patting my pet hippogriffs head.
Mum looked from me to Daddy, "River, let's just apparate there."
I nodded and kissed Soren's beak, "See ya later, Soren."
I gripped mums arm and the twins held Daddy's.
Taking a deep breath, the world began to spin.
I closed my eyes tightly, then we suddenly stopped.
I opened my eyes slowly and saw the chaotic streets of Diagon Alley.
My eyes widened as I rushed toward a window displaying the newest racing broom, The Starcatcher 2000.
Smiling, I turned toward Mum, "Look Mum! It's The Starcatcher 2000!"
Mum smiled and told me, "First years can't have brooms."
I frowned and turned back to the Broomstick.
Sighing, I pressed my hand against the glass.
Then, I felt a tap on my shoulder.
"Lily!" I exclaimed, hugging my cousin.
She hugged me back, "River! Happy Birthday!"
"Thanks. Come on!"I shouted, grabbing her hand and pulling her toward Flourish and Blotts.
I tugged on the door and stepped inside, breathing in the smell of fresh parchment.
"Wow..." I gasped, spinning in a small circle.
I ran towards a large bookcase covered in books about Quidditch.
Smiling softly, I took one off called A Catchers Guide to all Things Quaffling.
Jumping up and down, I ran to Mum.
"Mum, look!" I shriek, holding up the book.
Mum patted my shoulder and smiled, "Ok, as long as you still have enough for your other supplies."
I nodded and hugged her, "Thank you! Thank you!"
I skipped back to Lily and saw her talking to a small ginger haired girl.
"Hello! What's your name?" I asked the girl.
She smiled, "Lily Luna Potter. Yours?"
"Your middle name is my Mums first name!" I told her, "My names River Pandora Scamander."
Lily Luna smiled at me, "That's an odd middle name."
I looked down at my feet, "It was my grandmothers name. I never met her."
Lily Luna frowned, "Oh."
Then, a boy with brown hair walked up.
"What's your name?" I asked him.
He smiled, "Albus, Albus Potter. What's your name?"
"River Scamander," I told him, turning back towards the bookshelf.
Another boy walked up and poked Albus' shoulder.
"Come on, Al!" He said, smiling at me.
"What's your name?" He asked, then he looked at Lily, "and yours?"
I smiled, "I'm River Scamander and this is my cousin, Lily Lovegood."
The boy smiled and said, "I'm James, James Potter."
Suddenly, a tall man with glasses walks over.
I gasp, "You must be Harry Potter!"
He nods and chuckles, "Who are you?"
My eyes wide, I answer, "River Scamander. My Mum is Luna Lovegood."
I point at Mum, who is talking to her younger brother.
"Who are those boys beside her?" Harry ask.
I smile at him, "My brothers, Lorcan and Lysander."
Harry smiles, "Well, it was a pleasure to meet you Miss. Scamander. But, we have to go get James' wand."
I nodded, "Bye- bye!"
The four Potters waved.
