but instead of falling into his old habits,

He would drink so much that he'd be in bed sick for days,
he'd spend all of sunday mornings puking his guts out.
he didn't come to school for weeks because everything reminded him of her
his hands started shaking.
he destroyed himself hoping she could fix him.
But that night
he came to me
Drunk as always
i told him that i can't let him see his daughter like that
but he didn't listen
he walked in your room
and he all he did was cry
even thought he was always the one who said
boys don't cry
no matter what
but before he left that night
He looked at me and there was nothing but truth in those beautiful brown eyes
He gave me a letter before saying
'i'm sorry, i love you'
and i knew
that means
its time for him to leave
