Prarthana’s P.O.V
I walk into my house to see Tridha in deep sleep on her bed and Matt sitting right next to her. They make a cute couple, even though they both keep saying "we are just friends."
I walk into the living room and just sit there thinking. I haven’t been able to think of anything other than Ethan since the time I walked out of his house. I think I really like him, like a lot! He so sweet, funny, gorgeous and I can keep going on about how much I like him.
"Prarthana?" Someone from behind me calls to me, shit, what if its a ghost. I slowly turn around to see Matthew. Oh gheez, thank God!
"What’s up, Matt?" I ask him, trying not to show that I was scared.
"Do you mind if I stay the night? It’s 12 o’clock and my house is 3 hours away." He asks
"Sure. That’s no problem." I say smiling at him
"Thank you. Don’t worry I’ll sleep on the couch." He says smiling back at me finally and then turns to get his phone from the kitchen counter
"Matt. I trust you. You dont have to sleep on the couch, you can sleep next to Tridha on her bed." As soon as I say that his cheeks start to get red
"I know I shouldn’t be telling you this but.... Tridha really likes you. You can see it in her face. I can also see it in your face that you like her back." I say to him, he tries to say something and then comes and sits next to me on the couch.
"I had no clue that she liked me. I thought I was the only one who liked her. Thank you for clearing it up to me. It means a lot. Now I now I can ask her out. Thank you so much Prarthana." He says smiling so hard
"There is no need to thank me Matt." I say back
"Prarthana. I can also see it in your face that you like Ethan. And I shouldn’t be saying this but he told me that he has feeling for you. He really likes you." I was shocked for a minute and in seconds I was smiling so hard, I couldn’t contain it is got up and started jumping up and down. I heard Matt laughing so hard I stopped and gave him a hug.
"Thank you so much Matt." I say moving away from the hug.
"Thank you also Prarthana." He said and walked into Tridha’s room.
I sat on the couch the whole night thinking about Ethan and then finally felt myself drifting asleep.
*Next morning*
"Prarthana wake up, wake up, it’s 12:30 in the afternoon. You need to go get ready. Wear some nice clothes, do your hair nicely." I heard Tridha saying
"Whyyyyyy?" I ask her opening my eyes slightly to notice that I had fallen asleep on the couch.
"Just trust me on this and do it." She says pulling me up.
I walk into the bathroom and do my normal morning routine.
Ethan’s P.O.V
I couldn’t stop thinking about Prarthana yesterday. I knew Matt was at her place so I texted him, and this is how our conversation went.
E: Hey bro! What’s Prarthana up to?
M: You won’t believe what just happened.
E: What? Tell me!!!!!
M: I went to speak to Prarthana about spending the night and she told me that Tridha has feelings for me. I’m gonna ask her out man!!!
E: Awhh congrats bro!
M: that’s not all man
E: What else??
M: I kinda told Prarthana that you like her, like a lot
E: What the heck is wrong with you bro?
M: She said she likes you back. And when I told her that you like her, she got up and started jumping up and down. She really seems to like you man.
E: I can’t believe that. Are you serious man?
M: I’m serious.
E: I’m gonna ask her out. Thank you so much bro. Love you
M: Your welcome. Love you too bro.
After we had this conversation. I was soo happy I couldn’t sleep all night. I stayed up all night planning on what I would do, where I would take Prarthana for our first date, and how I’m gonna ask her out. Now here I am all dressed up to go and ask her out.
