Natsu's POV:
I had just gotten off the phone with Lucy and I just couldn't stop smiling like an idiot

I was so happy not only that she returned but the fact, she accepted to be my friend

Plus, she gave me her phone number without hesitation

The right number and not a fake

I open my phone and stare at the adorable picture I had took of her several minutes ago

"God she's so beautiful" I whispered to myself and kissed the picture.

It almost pained me to ask her to be my friend but I did it for the both of us.

The reason why well actually there are several reasons why I decided to choose the friend zone

One, I just felt like it wasn't the right time considering, she just lost her mom and all

Two, I was afraid she was going to reject me if I did ask her to be my girl

Three, I don't deserve her at least right now after all I've done since she's been gone

"I pray her workmates aren't big mouths then again I am Natsu Drag---Awww fuck they're definitely going to spill the beans to her!"

"Damn it all!" I screamed to the heavens scaring some birds off

A few people look my way but they don't know who I am since my hood is covering my head

The people shrug and continue on their way causing me to sigh in relief

"That was embarrassing" I mumbled under my scarf

Yup definitely glad that I said friends that way my horrid crimes could sink in

Now for reason number 4 I chose the friend zone is because, its the best way to start off an relationship

That way Luce and I can learn more about each other and evidently grow closer

You know start out as friends then build up to a more than friends relationship

So those are the reasons why I chose the friend zone for Luce and I

My friends may think I'm dimwitted but I'm really not

I'm quite smart and clever my only problem is I'm a fuckboy
