sadness is an ugly thing
sadness isn’t beautiful;
it’s ugly
but people like to wear it like people like to wear the latest trend
because the latest trend,
though it may be thought of as ugly later,
grabs attention
and makes people say,
“oh, you’ve got that too?”
and
“oh, where’d you get it from?”
