Let's hope Trevor gets run over by a car, since none of you guys like him haha!
Just kidding, I can't do that, I spent too much time on his character >_<
Enjoy :)

The clanking of glass against metal made my eyelids peel open.
Everything was blurry and bright, and I fought the urge to shut my eyes again.
"Brooke? Are you awake?", a voice made me turn my head to the left.
My eyes settled on someone with dark hair and I immediately felt my head lighten. I clamped my eyes shut and tried to get the thought of Trevor out of my head.
The memory of the kiss was invading every inch of my brain. He was my step-brother. We shared a dad for crying out loud! And yet, he still kissed me (twice, at that). My cheeks were wet, and I felt a hand wipe them dry.
"Brooke? Why are your crying? Are you in pain?", the same voice from before now had a worried tone. I prayed that it wasn't Trevor, I wanted to be far away from him.
I finally opened my eyes and an ocean of blue was in front of me. I screamed and the blue shrunk back into the face of the person who was leaning on top of me.
"R-ryland.", I gasped.
He smiled and sat back into the chair next to my cot.
Wait.
My cot!?
I frantically glanced around and examined the room I was in. It was all white, well the furniture at least. There was a small metal stand next to me and I took a closer look at it. A clear bag with liquid was attached to an IV, which in turn was attached to me. I felt nauseous and tore my eyes away from the sight.
"Brooke, hey. Respond, are you alright?", Ryland gently took hold of my hand.
"Uh, um, erm..", I stuttered like a fool and looked down at our hands. He blushed and quickly took his hand back.
"Oh! Sorry!", he apologized. I took a deep breath and reached out. I found his fingers and intertwined them with mine.
He looked like he was in awe but he didn't move.
"I was a little surprised is all. I'm fine, where am I?", I asked while staring at the thin, white cotton cover over me.
"You're in the hospital, in...", he clicked his tongue a couple times, "oh yeah, Seattle."
I in took a sharp gasp.
"Seattle? Why are you here?", I blurted.
"The nurse called me... why? You don't want me here?", he asked frowning slightly.
"No! No! I do! I really do..", I forced myself to look into his eyes.
"Great.", he smiled again. He stroked my hand with his thumb and shivers ran up my arm.
"So, um, how did she get your number?", I asked, changing the subject.
"I asked her the same thing. She said I was the first one on your speed dial list and judging by my name in your contacts, she predicted I was your boyfriend.", he smirked. I felt the heat creep up my neck.
"I'm glad you came.", the words spilled out of my mouth before I could stop them.
Ryland's face turned plenty shades of pink before he responded. I braced myself for the worst.
"I would've gone anywhere for you."
He leaned down so our faces were only mere inches apart. I felt his breath on my cupid's bow.
