Two Broken Souls

Lukas and Kyleigh

Today was Kyleigh's last day being in Tivoli.  That meant that the plan needed to be done before she left.  Philip hadn't talked to Lukas since the incident with Bo and the situation was growing more and more unpleasant.  The only thing Philip wished for was the hope that Lukas came to the spot for the plan with absolutely no bruises or any injuries due to his fathers rage. 

Kyleigh and Philip had been waiting at the spot for a while, still waiting for Lukas. 

"Your friend is really a flake" Kyleigh said jokingly pacing in circles 

"He's not my friend" Philip said checking his phone again "but yeah I know he's a flake" 

Kyleigh took a deep breath as she finally stopped pacing. "Philip I need to talk to you for a minute" she said holding her heart in her hand 

Philip looked up at Kyleigh then a split second later he looked down at his phone and noticed that Lukas texted him. 

"Can it wait actually, Lukas just got off his bike to come here" 

"Sure no problem" she said with a straight face fixing her makeup for the camera that were going to be around her in somewhat secret right now 

"Hey sorry I'm late" Lukas said 

Philip grabbed his phone and started to walk backwards looking at the quality as he moved backwards away from Kyleigh and Lukas.  He put the phone directly next to a tree to make it seem like whoever was videoing the sex was hiding behind the tree during the whole thing. 

"Okay, so you guys do whatever it is your gonna do" Philip nodded trying to hold back a small bit of both laughter and despair

There was small picnic table sitting in the middle of the woods.  Lukas laid on his back with his shirt off and Kyleigh sat on top of his groin area.  He left his jeans on but kept them out of view of the screen.  She pushed all of her hair in front of her face and too the right side of her body.  She leaned down and pecked Lukas on his lips. 

From a few meters away Philip began recording and he held the phone firmly as he watched Kyleigh move around on top of Lukas making it look like she was having sex with him.  She wouldn't look  Philip tried to hold back the tears however, a small tear drop fell from his eye. 

Lukas and Kyleigh continued to slightly kiss each other while being on the picnic table.  After about 3-4 minutes of recording Philip stopped recording and ran over to them.  He helped Kyleigh off the picnic table and she backed away a bit. 

"Want me to leak this now or later?" Philip asked 

"Do it once we leave in case anyone is around here and sees the three of us" Lukas said putting his shirt over his head 

"I should probably get back to Philip's so that I don't miss the bus tonight back to the city" she said as she adjusted her skirt and picked up her small backpack off the ground. "It was nice meeting you Lukas, and it was nice having 'sex' with you" she laughed as she left Philip and Lukas there

"Nice meeting you too Kyleigh" Lukas said as the situation was finally beginning to get awkward. "and thanks" he said choking on his words. 

By the time Kyleigh was gone Philip and Lukas didn't say a word to each other.  They hadn't talked to one another since Bo had caught them kissing.  There secret was out to his father but hopefully the video would at least be able to fix his situation at school.  Lukas didn't know what to say to Philip so for the most part the two of them just stood there in the woods.  It wasn't until Lukas' phone started to ring, it was Rose calling him. 

"So your talking to Rose again?" Philip asked 

Lukas looked up at Philip with a confused look on his face. "No- no I'm not actually" 

"Then why is she calling you?" 

"Don't know, but then again I don't really wanna know" he said rejecting the phone call 

Philip had a sigh of relief as Lukas put the phone in his pocket and sat down on the bench of the picnic table. 

"I'm sorry Lukas" 

"It wasn't your fault Philip, but things have changed now"

"Are we not able to be together anymore?" 

"I like you Philip" Lukas said as he jerked his head backwards with his eyes closed "nothing is ever going to change that but--"

Philip let me a very small and short sigh of relief.  Hearing Lukas tell him how he feels comforted his broken heart, however, the saying of the tragic word 'but' made his stomach drop and he suddenly couldn't breathe or speak, because he didn't know what to do and he didn't know what Lukas was going to say. 

"--But there is just too much at stake" 

"Us being together is the distraction that you can't have" Philip said choking on his words 

"I hope that you know that I want to be with you Philip, there it just too many things standing in the way of that" Lukas said getting up and walking over to Philip.

 He placed his arms around Philip's neck and tilted his head and gentle pecked Philip on the lips and then as he pulled back he noticed the tears in Philip's eye. 

Lukas took his finger and placed it on Philip's cheek whipping the tear away. Once that happened Philip let out a small smirk and started to laughing quietly to himself. 

"I'm glad you moved to Tivoli{" Lukas said 

"Well if I don't get my grades up soon social services might relocate me" 

"That can't happen" Lukas said shuttering himself back to reality and immediately exclaimed "I won't let that happen" 

Philip enjoyed that Lukas was worried that he could possibly get reassigned to a new foster family. 

The two of them decided to stay in the woods together where they knew they would be alone for a while, without the distraction, interruptions, or annoyance of the people in Tivoli that always tore them apart and made them feel worse. 

Both Philip and Lukas are two broken teenagers that have had everything pulled out from under them. The only time where they have ever felt safe is when they are together. 

Would they stay together? Will they keep their relationship a secret? Are they going to mend their broken souls together and lift each other up?
