Everyone has problems and most are understandable and can be helped. But when someone does help, but brings their own troubles into it and makes it all about them is when I have a problem.
They could possibly make the person who they're helping feel worse, and who wants that?
All I'm saying is while helping someone don't mention your own problems unless you need to tell them you made it through your problem and that they will too. It's kind of considered rude and I find it slightly annoying when someone tries to make it about them.
