Ally's POV;
I woke up in a daze, wiping the sweat from my forehead with my shaky hand. I had spent most of the night dreaming and worrying about Damon, worrying that Stefan had actually gone through with killing his brother, driving a stake through his heart.
I felt sick and disgusted with myself because of how I worried about Damon after everything that he had done to hurt people, cause me and my friends misery.
There was no fighting the feelings away because everytime I try and everytime I look at his angellic handsome face I find myself falling deeper and deeper for him.
I shook my head before sliding out of bed and heading towards the shower, hoping to wash away my guilt, my disgust, my feelings for Damon. But there was no chance, they lingered in my mind, on my body, on my conscience.
Once I was dressed and full from a bowl of cereal and a cup of coffee I headed to the door and walked down to Elena's, dreading the boring school day ahead of me. I got to Elena's and smiled at her and Jeremy as they walked out of the door, looking exactly like I was, tired, stressed and worried. We walked to school and hoped for the day to go by quickly or atleast take our mind of our troubles.
When we arrived at school Caroline approached us with a smile on her face, as always she hugged me close to her then did the same for Elena as Jeremy merely nodded in our direction then headed through the school doors, towards lessons.
I asked Caroline innocently "Have you spoken to Bonnie yet?" She bit her tongue and growled "No I'm mad at her. She needs to make the first move." Elena sighed and said "Be the bigger person." Caroline snapped "Impossible in her presence." Elena frowned and questioned "Why are you so mad at her anyway?" Caroline answered calmly "She's a theif, that's why. Ally let Bonnie borrow her necklace and she refuses to give it back. It's matter of principle."
I frowned in confusion and said "I told Bonnie to do whatever she wanted with it, I honestly don't care about that necklace, Caroline. Why do you?" Caroline gulped and mumbled "I don't, I just thought you might want it back." I nodded slowly and knew this had to be Damon, using Caroline to get him the necklace back, but why? He had dropped it the night of the Founders Party when he fed from my neck, why did he have it? What was it for?
I sighed and shook thoughts of Damon away from my mind as Elena changed the subject "Alright, well I tried. I'm officially out of it." Caroline grinned and muttered "Good. Where's Stefan?" Elena frowned and mumbled "He's avoiding me." Caroline asked "Why?" I looked at Elena's pained eyes before answering for her "It's complicated." Elena sent me a nod of appreciation as Caroline caught on and took the hint before gesturing that we started heading into school, so we did along with the ringing of the bell and the students following behind us.
Caroline headed in the opposite direction towards her lesson as I followed Elena into our history class, hoping our new history teacher wasn't an ass like Mr. Tanner was, may he rest in peace ofcourse.
As I slumped down into a spare chair next to Elena I listened to the second bell ring, signalling that everyone should be in their lessons now. Bonnie suddenley rushed into the classroom and sat quietly in the seat beside me, I looked at her in worry as she looked terrible, tired, frightened, alert.
I gave her a concerned look and mouthed to her 'Are you okay?' She blinked a few times before nodding slowly and looking down at her desk. I frowned and turned to Elena, shrugging my shoulders at her, showing I had no idea what was wrong with Bonnie. Elena nodded in understanding as we both watched Bonnie in concern, only to be interrupted by a man walking into our classroom.
The guy who I assumed was our new history teacher had sandy brown hair and hazel eyes, looking around his late twenties to mid thirties.
He walked to the front and let his bag hit the floor as he said with a warm smile "Good morning everyone, alrighty. I'm Alaric Saltzman. It's a mouthful I know, it doesn't exactly roll off the tongue. Saltzman is of German origins, my family emigrated here in 1755 to Texas. I, however, was born and raised in Boston. Now the name Alaric belongs to a very dead great-grandfather I will never be able to thank enough. You can just call me Rick. I am your new history teacher." I smiled at him and knew Alaric would be an amazing teacher before he had even begun.
