Sunday morning. I don't know what to do as always.
„Ahh... what could I doooo?," I mumbled to myself as I tossed and turned around in my bed. I glanced to my watch.
It's 10:23am.
Guess, I'll do the same as on every sunday.
I stood up from my bed, stretched my arms a little and quickly got dressed. I took the keys and my phone and then headed off after telling my mom where I was going. I walked the long road down, looking at the different houses. When I reached my destination, I rang the bell. I heard how someone rushed down the stairs.
„I'm coming," a voice inside of the house said. She opened the door and let out a sigh as soon as she saw it was me. „Guess you'll never learn to tell me before you're coming over," she said, shaking her head.
„Jiyoooooooon~"
„Stop acting cute and come in," she commanded. I stepped into her house and made myself at home as I sat down on the couch in a comfortable position.
„Where are your parents?," I asked her, looking around for them. It's been a while since I last saw her parents. Our mother's tend to meet up from time to time but they have been busy recently.
„Ah, I forgot to tell you, they are visiting my aunt who's living in Daegu for a week, I couldn't go with them since the company won't let me," Jiyoon told me and I felt a little sorry for her, though, it was normal for companies to not allow trainees to waste training time when there's no special occasion.
„Wahhhh, i'm hungry," Jiyoon suddenly bursted out, making me laugh at her.
She acts normal again.
I still didn't know why she acted so weird that day... I wanted to talk to her but I thought talking about that over the phone wouldn't be right and yesterday, I was with Jungkook.
Jiyoon walked to the kitchen that was connected to the living room and took a spoon out of the upper drawer before putting it into her mouth to free her hand and opened the fridge.
„Jiyoon?"
„Hmm?," she answered with the spoon in her mouth.
„Err, i forgot what I wanted to say, sorry." Right now is not the right time.
She just shrugged her shoulders and continued searching for something edible in her fridge. She smiled widely, seeing the chocolate pudding and quickly grabbed it before heading toward me again. She sat down beside me.
„I know you didn't forget what you wanted to say, so spill it."
I really can't lie, can I?
I sighed, „Well, how is your relationship going?," I asked, hoping that I didn't say something wrong.
Jiyoon diverted her eyes to the ground. „We broke up."
„You what?!"
„We broke up," Jiyoon repeated for me.
„Yeah, I heard what you said but...what?! I mean, you two just started dating... i don't know how many dates ago! Why?," I asked.
„I guess Taehyung and I are not supposed to be," she calmly said but I could've sworn that I saw tears filling her eyes, she even bit her lower lip to hinder her tears to fall.
„Jiyoon..." She turned her head away from me so that i wouldn't see her tears fall but it was no use since she started sobbing.
„It's okay, i'll get over it, don't worry about me, worry about yourself first," Jiyoon insisted.
I can't be that selfish.
I spread my arms wide open and Jiyoon immediately hugged me. I caressed her head, mumbling „You'll be fine." although I didn't even know what happened between these two. I had to hold my curiosity in, i really wanted to know why they broke up since they made a great couple but i didn't want to force it out of her.
I can't deny that i'm a little relieved though.
I shouldn't be relieved... she's my best friend.
Jiyoon calmed down after a few minutes and wiped her tears away after I gave her a tissue that i had with me. She then changed the topic so i assume, she doesn't want to talk about it. At least, not now.
„Want to watch a movie?," I asked her.
„Sure," she answered. „How about Iron Man?"
„Anything but Iron Man, please. I watched it with Jungkook yesterday, again," I said, looking away and I knew I blushed when I remembered that I kissed him on his cheek yesterday.
„Why are you blushing?," Jiyoon asked, she suddenly widened her eyes, looking like she figured something out. I really can't control my facial expressions, can I? „Don't tell me... Seoyeon, what happened yesterday?!"
„Err...well..."
I told Jiyoon everything, from that day when Jungkook kissed me in the dance practice room to our date we had but I hesitated to tell her what I did at the end of our date. I took two deep breathes before telling her: „I kissed him on the cheek."
„Oh, oka- YOU DID WHAT?!," Jiyoon screamed.
„I said, I ki-"
„Yeah yeah but what? I thought you... didn't you like Taehyung!?"
I sighed and grabbed the pillow which laid on the sofa and rested my head on it. „I still like him.. but i don't know. I'm still unsure of my feelings for Jungkook but I know that I like Taehyung although he doesn't like me," I said and hugged the pillow. I heard Jiyoon mumbling something to herself but it was too quiet for me to understand. „What did you say?"
„Huh? Err, nothing, never mind," Jiyoon replied and had a suspicious look on her face.
„Sure?," I asked and she just nodded her head in response.
„Do you think you'll end up falling for Jungkook?" She turned her head toward me.
I thought to myself. „I honestly don't know... maybe?"
Jiyoon let out a soft sigh before taking my hands and holding them. „I'm happy as long you are but promise me, that you won't date Jungkook out of pity because this would be unfair to the both of you."
„I won't," I said with a serious tone.
Jiyoon looked at me, with an expression i couldn't read. „Promise."
„I promise."
Little did I know that I'll break that promise.
Twice.
