Shoutout to StyPayHorLikSon1st for giving me brilliant ideas for the rest of this story! I had to give you credit girl ;) love ya!
Avalon's POV:
The shrill sound of the bell pounded in my ears as I walked to my next class. English.
Unfortunately, this was one of the classes I had with Niall. I had to talk to him as I was trying to delay our conversation as much as possible. I just didn't want to see his sad, blue eyes. To my surprise, they'd been like that the past week. You could say I was sneaking glances at him every opportunity I had.
I walked in the classroom. Instantly, the chattering of my fellow peers surrounded me. I blocked them out, as I had learned to do, and took my usual seat at the back of the class.
I saw Niall walk in and he took his eat amidst his popular friends.
I wish Chrissy was in this class...
"Good morning class," the teacher greeted us. She received nods from the people that were actually listening. The others were ignoring her as usual. "So today we'll be doing an activity with partners."
I groaned. The girl beside me looked at me weirdly. I ignored her.
I turned back around in my seat and saw Niall staring at me.
A popular girl asked him something, probably if he wanted to be her partner, and he shook his head. Ouch. I feel bad for her.
His eyes traveled back to me and I huffed in frustration. I grabbed my hood and put it on my head so he couldn't see me anymore. I laid my head on the desk and bam, I was invisible.
"Get in partners! And one person come get this sheet." the teacher ordered, kindly.
I felt a tap on my shoulder and I snuck a peek at the person standing before me.
I saw a leather jacket and I muttered, "Go away."
"But I want to be your partner." he whispered, the usual spark in his voice not present.
"I said go away Niall!" I repeated. I know I sounded really mean right now, but it wasn't because of him. Well partly, yes, but I was just trying to delay our talk. I lifted my head from my desk and saw Niall had taken a seat in the empty desk in front of me.
"I'll call the teacher over here." I threatened. It was a pathetic warning, but I guess it could work.
His eyes glittered in amusement as he boldly uttered, "Do it."
I saw challenge in his eyes and tone and even though we weren't in good terms, I wasn't going to look weak in front of anybody. I had too much pride in me for that. And also, I was the same old stubborn Avalon.
I raised my hand and Niall raised his eyebrows as if he were impressed. I rolled my eyes at him. As the teacher was walking towards us, I took my hood off. We weren't supposed to wear hoods or hats in school, but most teachers liked me because I was quiet, intelligent and cooperative, so they let me wear my hood.
"Yes?" She kindly asked as she finally approached us.
"I don't want to work with him." I explained, motioning to Niall with my eyes.
"Oh I'm sorry, but it looks like all the other students are taken." She said, with something like pity in her eyes. Niall grinned at me proudly.
"Okay, but can I work alone?" I asked, not giving up early.
"No, I'm afraid not," she explained. "Is he giving you a problem?" She asked, looking between Niall and I.
I pondered for a second. I could get him in trouble... But eh, better not.
"No, he's not." I answered. The teacher nodded and left to assist another student.
"So looks like we're partners." Niall grinned once again.
"Shut up." I shook my head, but couldn't help the smile that crept up my lips.
Sometimes I wished we could always be like this, cheerful and teasing. But nothing lasts forever. We have to step our of our fantasies and face reality.

"So why did the main character betray his wife?" I asked Niall, looking at the questions on our sheet.
"Maybe he had a reason to," Niall softly spoke, making it sound personal. "He still loves her regardless."
"But do you know how she's feeling? She feels betrayed and thinks that maybe their love wasn't even real in the first place." I spat out through gritted teeth. Yep, this was becoming personal.
"But it was real!" Niall exclaimed, pounding his wrist on the table. "She's just too blind to see that he still loves her and always will. She's too blind to see that he made a mistake. He's only human!"
I processed his words like a child swallowing bitter medicine. The bell rung right on time and Niall shook his head as he gathered his stuff, grabbed his book bag and left, not looking back.
Note: dun dun dun bam! So comment what you think is going to happen next!
Hey if you guys don't mind, could you check out my book Dangerously Trapped? It's a punk Harry fanfic & he is kind of like After Harry but different in his own ways :) cover picture to the side ---->
Guess the song for a dedication: "___ ______ I'm giving up on you.
I'll be the one, if you want me to."
I'm in love with this song! And my best friend can play it on the piano ahh.Anywaysss, thanks for being here for me guys. You've always helped me when I've felt down and I appreciate that. I wish sadness was eradicated from this world. But then.. what would we live for? Problems are needed in life, everything can't be picture perfect. So just don't worry about it. I know it's hard, but sometimes you just have to let it go and pretend you don't give a crap. That's how I find peace sometimes. So this is getting long, thank you & ily so much -stargurl<3
