Brandon and Nikki lay in their bed, Nikki is sleeping, while Brandon is haveing random, late-night thoughts.
"Nikki?" Brandon asks.
"Yes?" Nikki grumbles, rolling over to face Brandon.
"Do you like me?"
"What do you mean?"
"Do you like, like me?"
"Brandon, we're married, and have a child."
"I know but-"
"Brandon."
"What?"
"I don't like, like you."
"Oh."

"Okay. Now go back to sleep."
"Okay."
They both rolled back over and started to go back to sleep.
But Brandon wasn't convinced. He had to have answers.
"Nikki?"
"Yes, Brandon?" Nikki asked with a slightly annoyed tone
"Are you sure you love me?"
"No. I hate you."
"I knew it."
"What?!"
"Nothing."
"Okay. Now go back to sleep. I love you."
"Shouldn't one of us leave the bed since you hate me?"
"No."
"Why not?"
"Because I love you. I always have and I always will. Now will you please go back to sleep?"
"I knew that too. Yes, I will."
So they both rolled back over and started to fall asleep again.
"But just to be clear, you do have a crush on me?"
"Yes." Nikki answered with an exasperated sigh.
"Okay. Good. Goodnight. I love you."
"I love you too."
And this time, they rolled over and actually went to sleep. And because of this night, they lived happily ever after, knowing that they loved & had a crush on each other.
