Chapter Five

This is the last chapter. I wrote it to get rid of writer's block, and then I ended it at five. I tried finishing it out after five, but I really want to leave it at five. I can't get it anywhere past it. I have an epilogue, but the concept of it I was planning on using for another story, so I may not upload it, sorry.

I know it's been a while, and if you knew what I'd been through, you'd understand. My best friend is cutting herself. Does anyone know what to say to her? Cause I don't. I want her to stop, but I know her reason, and I want her to tell her parents, but she won't. Help? I have like a bajillion tests and homework assignments. I have all of my advanced classes (which is all but one) cramming us for the OGT, which I don't take until next year... So we have homework every night, in every subject. Plus, I can't sleep, and I don't know what the hell's amatter with me. When I get five minutes of sleep, I dream about losing my teeth, which is pretty damn scary after about the third dream of it. I'm starting to think that something is going to happen to them.

Well, enough of my drama, here's the story.

Chapter Five

I woke cuddled up next to Kale on the chilly cave floor. Don’t get any rash ideas—we just made out, nothing more. I’m not that forward…but it’s weird. I feel this connection with Kale that makes me want him more than I’ve ever wanted any of my past boyfriends.

“Morning,” his husky, sexy voice mumbled. I swear, there is nothing sexier than his morning voice.

“I didn’t mean to wake you,” I whispered.

“I was already awake, Mays,” he replied. He kissed me, and I gladly kissed back. I could feel Kale’s excitement in his boxers. I pulled away, and his face was red.

“Sorry,” he said nervously, “It’s morning.” I laughed, and pressed my lips on his. He kissed me back like he needed me to live. He flipped us over, so my back lay on the cave floor, him hovering above me.  I pulled away, and he looked at me worriedly.

“Kale, wait, you told me you imprinted. Who is she? Because if I were her and I knew that you were kissing other girls while you knew about me, I’d be pissed.”

He sighed, and sat up, running his hand through his hair.

“Can…can I at least meet her?” I whispered.

“Mays, I imprinted on you,” he says finally.

          “Me?” I whispered.

“Yeah, you. And I’m sorry for having to tell you like this. Whenever I pictured telling you, it wasn’t in a cave, it was--,” I cut him off with my lips. He must have been shocked, because he didn’t respond at first. He kissed back, his lips hungry for more.

“We should probably head back,” he whispered.

          “Okay,” I say softly.

He gathered up his stuff, and grabbed my hand, interlacing his fingers with mine. We walked back to our house, and I couldn’t help but smile. Kale imprinted on me? It explained so much, why he stayed with his. Why he was always worried about me. Why he would never hurt me.

We walked in the front door, and my parents were long gone. There was a note on the counter, saying they’d gone to New York because their friend was having an emergency.

“I’m going to go take a shower,” I say.

“Me too,” Kale says, and then pecks me on the lips. I go and take a shower, and walk out in my bra and underwear. Kale walks in, fully clothed, and then realizes I’m not dressed.

“Oh, I-I’ll just go,” he stammers. I press my body against his.

          "You like this?” I asked.

          “I…ah…er…uhm…ah…,” he stammers nervously.

“I surely hope you wouldn’t be this nervous if we were to have sex,” I laughed.

“Oh I wouldn’t,” he said confidently, then picked me up and threw me on my bed, hovering above me, “I would throw you on the bed and fucking ravish you.” He kissed me.

I could get used to this. Just to think, my best friend was now my boyfriend. How strange was life?

He pulled away after a breathtaking kiss. His lips pulled up into a perfect smile, his perfect teeth showing, and then kissed me again.

“Now get dressed before we do something we’ll regret,” he laughed and got up, going downstairs. I put on a cute skirt and a tank top, running downstairs barefoot.

Kale handed me a cup of warm blood and I sipped it while he ate a Nutella and jelly sandwich. He smiled at me across the table, and I couldn’t help but smile too. If I had to name one day as being the best day of my life, this would definitely be it.
