I walk into school the next day, feeling on the edge. I've got good reasons to be. The psycho hunter Kate Argent, the one that kidnapped my friends, is now on the loose again. Not to mention all my worries about metahumans, the Reverse Flash, Peter and the berserkers. When Chris explained to me what happened last night, I felt like I wanted to be sick. Why was everything going wrong for us? Why couldn't anything just be peaceful for one minute? Malia breaks me out of my thoughts as she runs up to me. She gives me a hug. "Hi, Stiles. How are you feeling?" She asks as she lets go of me.

"I'm fine, thanks for you concern though." I smile at my girlfriend, suddenly feeling a lot calmer. I'm just happy that Malia is safe. The two of us walk down the corridor together. I sigh, knowing that I need to tell Malia and the others about Kate. Apparently Chirs is telling Derek, but he gave me the option of me telling the others at school or leaving it to him at a pack meeting tonight. I decide that the longer they are left in the dark, the bigger the possibility it is for them to get hurt. Malia looks over and frowns at me. "What is it?" She asks me worriedly.

"I need to tell you something. The others need to hear about it too." I reply. Malia nods in understanding.

"Let's split up and find them then. We will meet at the front entrance of the school." Malia suggests. I nod in agreement. The two of us go in separate directions to find our friends. After a few minutes of searching, I find Isaac and Scott. I rush over to them. The two werewolves turn to me as they see me coming. "Hey, Stiles. What's the hurry?" Isaac asks curiously. "We need to talk. Now." I say urgently. Scott and Isaac exchange worried looks.

"We're meeting the others at the front of the school. Come on!" I say as I jog towards the front of the school again. I hear Scott and Isaac following behind me. Once we reach the front entrance, we see that the girls are already outside waiting for us. I open the doors for Scott, Isaac and I to walk through. I make my way over to Malia. I turn to the rest of our friends. "So, what did you need to talk about?" Scott asks worriedly.

"After our phone call last night, someone else called me." I sigh.

"Who?" Lydia frowns.

"Chris." I reply.

"What did he say?" Malia asks nervously.

"Um, he said that Kate has escaped. He has no clue on her whereabouts." I inform my friends. Their eyes widen with horror. "What? How recent was this?" Kira asks worriedly. Scott wraps his arm around his girlfriend's waist. "Only yesterday. Chris was out investigating a murder that may have involved a berserker when it must have happened. He has already tried searching the area, but no luck. She could be anywhere now." I inform them sadly.  Everyone looks around at each other worriedly. "Why did Kate kidnap you guys anyway? This might give us a clue as to what she wants." I ask them.

"I'm not really sure, but she definitely wanted to kill us. She wanted to kill us at the right moment though, whatever the hell that means. We're not psychos, so I don't know how her mind works." Scott answers me.

"She probably just wanted revenge on us for what happened to her in the past, especially Scott. She might have blamed Scott for her almost death." Lydia shrugs. It seems ridiculous that Kate could blame Scott for Peter ripping her throat out, but it also sounds a lot like Kate. She also really hated Scott anyway and was always the crazy aunt in my eyes, but I wish we had more to go on.

"Anything else?" I ask the group hopefully, wanting to soak up as much information as I can. "Well, I didn't like the way she was looking at me. There was something in her expression... As if she was planning something. It was unsettling. I haven't really thought about it again until now because I thought that Kate wouldn't be a problem again. I guess I've definitely learned my lesson with underestimating her, or any Argent for that matter." Scott tells me, biting his lip slightly out of worry. I hum and cross my arms over my chest, deep in thought. "I think we all just have to be careful. If we see or hear anything that's out of the ordinary, anything at all, we tell the rest of the group. Agreed?" I suggest to my friends. Everyone nods in agreement. "Maybe the Flash could help us?" Kira asks. I exchange a sad look with Lydia and Malia. I want to help my friends with Kate, I really do, but how can I if I don't know what she's planning or where she is? Do I have to run across the country to find her? I guess in the worst case scenario, I would do that, but I would prefer it not to come to that. Lydia and Malia look at me sympathetically. I look away before the others notice something odd. "Yeah, I think if he can, the Flash will definitely help us." I finally say. Scott nods in agreement. Suddenly, the bell rings. "Come on, we need to get to class." I say before walking inside the school again, my hand intertwined with Malia's.

"Okay, so here's the deal. Because of the school fire, the lacrosse finals have been postponed for a few more weeks. This at least gives us more chance to train. Now, get your asses on the field! Run 10 laps for me!" Coach instructs us in the boys locker room after school. Everyone nods in agreement before we walk out onto the lacrosse field, where Kira is  already waiting for us. We quickly start our 10 laps of running. I make sure to keep my pace nice and steady, running slightly behind the rest of my friends, not wanting to cause too much suspicion, now that I have more control of my powers. Eventually, we finish our laps, most of us feeling breathless. I feel fine. Once everyone has recovered, Coach throws us into a scratch match. Scott and Kira are on the opposite team to me, but I do have Isaac on my team. Coach blows the whistle and we start the game. Scott is the first one to grab the ball and races down the lacrosse field. I dodge and weave between people and chase after Scott. "Here!" Danny yells out to Scott a little bit further down the field, in a good position to score. I notice Scott turn slightly towards Danny, ready to throw. I speed up and jump in front of Scott as he uses his lacrosse stick to throw the ball to Danny. I intercept the throw, with the ball landing in the netting of my lacrosse stick. I smirk as I land back down on the ground and start running towards my end of the field. I manage to dodge the players trying to come and tackle me to the ground, including Scott. Two players then seemingly come out of nowhere, completely blocking my path. I have to think fast. I lean backwards, falling to the ground and let myself slide between one of the players' legs, the ball remaining in the netting of the lacrosse stick. I stand back up quickly and start running towards the goal, where Greenburg is in the goalie position. I see Isaac running beside me, so I throw him the ball. He catches it easily. He continues to run towards the goal and throws the ball at the net. It slips by Greenburg, earning us a goal. I smile. Coach blows the whistle and we all start heading back to our positions. Some of my team mates pat me on the back. "Seriously dude. You have improved so much since we first joined the team." Scott laughs as he walks beside me.

"So have you." I point out.

"Yeah, but I kinda had some help with that, as you know." Scott smirks. I shrug in response.

"What's your secret?" Scott asks in a quiet voice. It's easier not to show my nerves about the question since my heart is already beating faster due to all exercise. I shrug again. "Um, I guess just lots of practice and determination. There's no glory in practice, but there's no glory without practice." I answer my best friend in a casual voice.

"Wise words, Stiles." Scott nods as we make our way back to our starting positions. We wait a few moments before Coach blows the whistle and the next round of play begins.

A/N: Hi everyone, I am so sorry this chapter took ages to upload. I've been super busy with my other stories, homework and I've had bad writer's block for this story for a while. I know it sucks. I'm sorry that this chapter is shortish, but I wanted to publish something. I hope that I can get back into the rhythm of writing this story soon, as I have great ideas for it that I think you will like. The problem is how I'm going to write those things in, haha. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed the chapter, despite how long it took for me to post it. I feel so guilty when I don't update a story for ages. Hopefully the next chapter will be up in the next few weeks. I can't promise anything at the moment though, as school is about to get super hectic. At least I have a two week break coming up soon. Maybe I can get more writing done then. Until next time, happy reading!
