Best friend

"Will you always love me?" I asked Lauren as we sat on the rooftop of a building.

"What?" Lauren asked confused.

"Will you always love me ?" I asked again turning my head away from the sky to look at her.

"Of course I will. You're my best friend, Y/N."

I sighed and looked down.

Maybe that's all I'll ever be to her.

"Remember those words Lauren." I say before I look down at the ground, 10 stories down. "Because I really hope that you mean them." That was the last thing I said before I jumped.

I can hear her scream as I start falling. It's like it's slow motion. I can see the floors as I keep falling.

2 stories.

And when I'm able to count the 9th floor I close my eyes and wait for impact.

Everything hurts now and I can feel myself slipping into my deathly sleep. I can still faintly see Lauren on the roof.

And I smile. Happy that she was the last thing that I got to see in this world.
