It wasn't an ordinary day

when I stopped by your grave.

You’ve been gone for over a year

but I still shed my tears.

I put my pain in writing

to stop the useless crying

but nothing seems to work

you're dead; and it hurts.

I can still remember the night

when a bullet took your life.

I was standing right beside you.

Why wasn't I shot too?
