Chapter 8

I was online reading the news, I had my hand on stomach, these acticles wouldn't very interesting, I was about to get up, while I saw a article about a little girl that was only 4 years, the article said that her house had been burned by a fire, and that her parents didn't make it out, I started crying, I keen what it was like to not have both of my patents around, but I didn't want this little girl to live like that, I started to scoll down, and I saw a picture of the little girl with her parents

Wait, I saw these two people before, wait, they're the people that asked me to babysit their daughter when she was a little baby, thinking that she lost her parents just made me even sadder, I really had a connention with this little girl when she was just a baby, and even worse, she was up for adoptoin, I had to tell Lucas, it was 8:00 in the morning and he was still sleeping, I didn't want to wake him, but I had to tell him this, Lucas: I could feel Maya shaking my arm, and I opened my eyes

When I opened my eyes, she was crying, and I got up immediately, I couldn't stand to see Maya crying, What's wrong, I said getting up to hug her, Maya: Lucas, you know how when we would 18, and we had to babysit that little girl, Lucas: Yeah, Maya: Well, I just read that she lost her parents due to a fire, and now she's up for... adoption, Lucas: Wait what, so she lost her parents, and now she's up for adoption, and how old is she, Maya: She is only four years, Lucas this is terrible

Lucas: You have to calm, it's not good for Sofia and Adam who are inside you, and we can get though this together, Maya: Lucas, I know this sounds crazy, and I know would expecting two babies of our own, but I think... I want to... adopt her, Lucas: I was silence for a while, I didn't know what to say, Maya: Lucas, I know this is hard, but she needs a home, she is only a little girl, Lucas: I know, but we're all ready expecting to have two babies, I said putting my hand on her stomach, I don't think I can handle rising another kid

Maya: I know it will be a lot to handle, but she needs someone, and I know who she is and I fell in love with her, when I first saw her, so please Lucas, Lucas: It's not like I can stop you, and she and you did bond really good, but it is going to be hard to rise three kids, on the article there was a number listed, so I called the number to tell them that I wanted to adopt her, and got my phone, and I heard the women's voice on the other line, Women: Hello, are you calling about Serenity, I never knew her name, but I guess her name was Serenity

Maya: Yes, I was calling about Serenity, and I wanted to adopt her, Women: Wow, you are one of the first persons to call about her, Maya: Yet, I know her mom and dad, and I babysit her when she was a baby, Women: So you know who Serenity is, well that should make it easier for you, come over to the adoption service, and we get you guys the paper work, so you can adopt her, Maya: Thank-you so much, and then we hang up, Lucas: So how did it go, Maya: We have to go the adoption sevice and she'll give us the paperwork

Lucas: That's great, and I went to hug her, while I felt something, and then I went back, and I put my hand on her stomach, and I smiled, when I felt a kick, the babies would be kicking, Maya: Well it looks like they started to kick, I was 5 months pregnant now, so it made sense, but I was really happy that I could feel their little feel, kicking against my stomach, and put on hand on my stomach, and I felt ethier Adam or Sofia kicking my hand, I was giggling as they one of them kicked my hand

I was so distracted by their kicking that, I almost forgot that we and to drive to the adoption service, we quickly hopped into the car, and Lucas drived, as he drived, I was happily putting my hand on my stomach, to feel their little feet against my hand, we then arrived at the service, me and Lucas walked inside the building, and as always, evertone started to stare at my stomach, which was getting pretty big, we walked in and I saw a lady at the counter and she waved for us to come over, women: Who must be the people that want to adopt Serenity

Maya: Yes, well come over here, women: Serenity is a very sweet girl, she likes to draw and bake, she is kinda of sassy, but for the most part, she is sweet as can be, women: Serenity, who have some people who are interested in adopting you, Serenity: Really, she said excitedly, and she ran towards us, she stopped when she saw my stomach, Maya: Hi, my name is Maya and this Lucas and we want to adopt you, Serenity: You mean take me home with you guys, Lucas: Well if things go well then yes, Serenity: That makes me so happy

After losing mommy and daddy, I been really sad, and I just want a mommy and daddy that can care for me, she was about hug, but then she started pointing to my stomach, Maya: Oh, are you wondering about that, come here, I sat her on my lap, and I put her hand on my stomach, I watched her face, as she quickly pulled her hand away, Maya: It's ok, it's just the babies kicking, Serenity: Wait, so is there a baby in there she said pointing to my stomach, Maya: Yeah, actually there are two babies in here, and they grow in here, until ready, Serenity: Wow, so IF you adopt me I would be getting a... Maya: A little brother and sister, Serenity: Wow, I have always wanted a little brother or sister, and you adopt me, I'll get both, and I also have a mom and dad
